1 Towson University England, Wales and Ireland: June 7th - 17th 2006 Day 1: Wednesday 7th June 2006 Depart Washington D.C. area International Airport on a regularly scheduled airline to London Heathrow International Airport Day 2: Thursday 8th June 2006 Arrive at London Heathrow International Airport where our Harvard Sports UK full time tour escort meets the group to transfer by private motor coach to the nearby town of Windsor, home of Queen Elizabeth II s favorite residence, Windsor Castle Free time to explore the historic town and maybe cross the River Thames to neighboring Eton, home of Englanďs premier private school. Founded in the 15th Century it has educated numerous Royals, including Princes William and Harry Continue to London for an introductory tour of Englanďs capital, including Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace Free time for lunch on your own in Covent Garden, then transfer to check in to a London area hotel for a 4 night stay in twin bedded rooms with private facilities Dinner at the hotel and a free evening Towson University International Lacrosse Tour

2 Day 3: Friday 9th June 2006 After breakfast travel to the historic Tudor Naval port of Greenwich. Visit the Victorian Market, the Cutty Sark the worlďs last remaining Tea Clipper, and the Royal Observatory, home of the Greenwich Meridian from where world time is measured From Greenwich follow the River Thames to the 1000 year old Tower of London. Built by William the Conquerer it has served as a Palace, Prison, Armory, Jewel House and place of execution. Take time for pictures, visit the newly renovated St. Catherine s Docks, and cross Tower Bridge Continue to Parliament Square with the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey Free time in central London for lunch and for individual sightseeing and souvenir shopping Return to the hotel for dinner and a free evening Day 4: Saturday 10th June 2006 Game 1 Breakfast at the hotel then travel the short distance outside London to the lovely town of Putney in Surrey to join our hosts for the day - the Putney Lacrosse Club Spend the morning enjoying a coaching clinic with the Putney LC staff Pre-game lunch at the Putney Lacrosse Club Game 1: Towson University vs. Putney Lacrosse Club Return to the hotel for dinner and a free evening Day 5: Sunday 11th June 2006 After breakfast depart for Buckingham Palace and the traditional ceremony of the Changing of the Royal Guard Lunch on your own and a free afternoon in London - shop along Regent or Oxford Street, at world famous Harrods in the fashionable Knightsbridge, or at one of London s trendy sunday markets such as Camden Town or Portobello Road Return to the hotel for dinner and a free evening Towson University International Lacrosse Tour

3 Day 6: Monday 12th June 2006 Game 2 After breakfast check out of the hotel and head north-west to the Manchester area En route stop in Stratford-UponAvon, home of William Shakespeare. Visit Shakespeare s birthplace and Anne Hathaway s House, and watch street entertainers continue their traditions in the gardens of Holy Trinity Church Continue to Warwick Castle. Built in 1066 AD this classical medieval fortress has been home to many King, Prime Minister and Royalty of the Realm. Take time for lunch, to walk the battlements, descend into the dungeons, and maybe even take the ghost walk Check in to a north west area hotel for a 2 night before transferring to the second game of the tour Game 2: Towson University vs. North West Lax Club Dinner at the hotel and a free evening Day 7: Tuesday 13th June 2006 Game 3 Breakfast at the hotel, then travel west crossing the border into Wales Visit the traditional Welsh town of Llangollen, and continue through the dramatic mountains and lakes of the Snowdonia region Take in the impressive medieval castles in Caenarfon and Conwy, before enjoying afternoon tea in the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno Return to England to prepare for tonighťs game Game 3: Towson University vs. Heaton Mersey Lax Club Dinner at the hotel and a free evening Day 8: Wednesday 14th June 2006 Enjoy a leisurely morning for breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to Chester One of Englanďs most historic and beautiful cities, Chester is an ancient Roman walled city with unique medieval timbered shopping rows and a lovely 13th Century Cathedral Transfer this afternoon to Manchester International Airport for the Inter-European flight to Ireland Arrive at Dublin International Airport and transfer to to check in to a local hotel for a 2 night stay Dinner at the hotel and a free evening Towson University International Lacrosse Tour

4 Day 9: Thursday 15th June 2006 After breakfast transfer to the center of Dublin for a guided tour of the city aboard the Big Green Bus City Tour. The tour will take you to all the major sites, including Dublin Castle, Kilmainham Prison and the Guinness Brewery - the bus affords the opportunity to get off at a number of stops to visit particular sites and then rejoin a later tour. Later, visit Trinity College Dublin (pictured above) to see the world famous Book of Kells Free time for lunch on your own and to explore the Irish capital - head to Grafton St. for some souvenir shopping and to visit Irelanďs heroine Molly Malone (pictured right) Return to the hotel for dinner and a free evening Day 10: Friday 16th June 2006 After breakfast check out and head south through the Wicklow Mountains to County Waterford Travel to the town of Waterford, with its decidedly medieval feel of city walls, narrow alleyways and a Norman tower. Georgian times also left a legacy of fine buildings, in particular on the spacious 18th Century Mall. Visit the Waterford Crystal Factory to see how the generations of design experience create pieces that are as individual as the people who make them. Iťs a real working environment but you can get very close up to the process and see the work almost through the eyes of the artisans (entry included) Lunch on your own then depart for County Wexford (pictured above) with its rare mix of mountains, valleys, flora, and breathtaking beaches spanning 200 km of coastline. This delightful combination provides for active resorts, scenic villages and pretty harbors dotted around the coast.
