1 20 20 Design Training. At Merillat Cabinetry, we ve been going through a transformation. A re energized focus on our customer. Our simplified approach and new construction options are all intended to streamline your design process and help you close more business. In Phase 1, we merged three Merillat Classic catalogs into one for a single source of information. Additional construction options and expanded depth options were introduced to provide design flexibility and consistency. In Phase 2 we are multiplying design options with exciting new products. New door styles great new looks at attractive prices. New finishes popular and trend forward to help complete the spectrum of choice. MERILLAT TRAINING 1

2 Switch Items. With any catalog update we recommend updating active designs to the new catalog to get new products, pricing and catalog corrections. If there are multiple catalogs in the design, each catalog will have to be switched to the new catalog. Merillat Cabinetry has several new options available for more flexible design. Cabinets that include matching interior, 15 deep cabinets, and glass doors will not automatically switch using Switch Items. Styles & Pricing must be reset in the new catalog. Feedback from Phase 1. After feedback from several customers, we have removed { } from the majority of SKUs to make it easier to find cabinets in the Drag 'N Drop list and read labels on the floor plan. Some { } have remained to indicate graphical differences, such as {L} and {R} for end panels. MERILLAT TRAINING 2

3 Styles & Pricing Selections. Styles & Pricing Selections have been expanded, with the introduction of Option Based Pricing, to include: optional 5 piece or 3 piece Drawer Front upgrade, All Plywood Construction, Plywood End Panels and Dovetail Drawers. New Door Styles available 11/12/13: Cannonsburg w/ 5pc front, Fox Harbor, Glen Arbor, Ralston w/ 5pc front, and Bayville in Dusk featured in the coffee station photo. To upgrade to a 5 piece drawer front, click on Drawer Front Option in Styles & Pricing. Door Styles available in 5 piece upgrade: Avenue, Cannonsburg, Portrait and Ralston. Door Styles available in 3 piece upgrade: Tolani. New Finishes available 12/10/13: Amaretto on Oak, Dusk on Maple, Hazelnut (Accent & Traditional Glaze) on Maple, Kona on Oak, and Pecan on Cherry, Maple, Oak (left to right). MERILLAT TRAINING 3

4 Simplified Price Levels. To simplify quoting, Arch and Square Door Styles are in the same Price Column, reducing the number of Price Levels in We have aligned with the Price Book and now show Paint and Glazed Finishes as a percent premium, eliminating the need for separate Price Levels. This cuts the number of Price Levels in half, including room for new door styles!. Under Door Style Selection Arch and Square are separate selections that drive the graphical representation of the Door Style in perspectives and renderings The Price Level may contain both Arch & Square. When viewing the Quote, notice that the Door Style Selection is under Wall doors. EXCEPTION: Seneca Ridge and Spring Valley have separate Price Levels for Arch & Square due to Accent Glaze Availability. MERILLAT TRAINING 4

5 Design with Confidence. We have incorporated quick references into the catalog to help you design confidently and quickly. These quick references include links to Finish Availability Chart, Price Column Chart, Extended Lead Time notes, and a list of Door Styles available in Drawer Front upgrades. 6 Our Construction. With the August 2013 launch, new construction options were added to Merillat Classic : All Plywood Construction (ADT); Standard Construction with Plywood Ends, Standard Drawers, Thick Shelves (PST); and Plywood End Panel Option in Painted/Glazed Finishes. Add Ons. Construction Options can also be applied to individual cabinets through Add Ons. This allows you to mix and match construction without duplicating the catalog. To select multiple construction options, double click on the words Construction Option. REMINDER: When selecting All Plywood Construction, you must select Dovetail Drawers.. MERILLAT TRAINING 6

7 Add Ons. Add On selections have been expanded, with the introduction of Option Based Pricing, to include: depth options, cabinet front only, glass and mullion door, matching interior and the flexibility to change construction options for an individual cabinet. Spec Book Links. The Spec Book has been redesigned, with the introduction of Option Based Pricing, to incorporate more detailed information on option availability. In we have incorporated the new Spec Book by linking each SKU to the specific page it is on in the Spec Book. Matching Interior is only available with glass or mullion doors. To ensure that valid options are selected, you must first select glass or mullion doors in order for the matching interior option to be visible in the list of Add Ons. Square Mullion Glass, Arch Mullion Glass, Glass Door, Prairie Mullion (left to right) To access the new Spec Book pdf, right click on the SKU and select Specs. The Spec Book has a legend to the right of each SKU indicating which options are available for that SKU. MERILLAT TRAINING 7

8 New Features. We continue to add new features to the catalogs to make designing easier and faster with Merillat brand cabinetry! We are also improving graphics to help your customer better visualize their new space. Design Tips & Hints. Design Tips & Hints have been adopted from the Merillat Masterpiece brand cabinetry catalog. They provide "Do s", "Don'ts", and "Good Ideas" for designing with Merillat Classic brand cabinetry. To access these tips, go to Attributes>Variables>Design Tips & Hints. They are available on select cabinets, such as Wall Microwave Shelves. Hardware: (HK162) Venetian Bronze Copper French Lace Knob 100% Accurate Hardware. 100% accurate hardware is now available in Merillat Classic brand cabinetry to enhance your perspectives and show a more life like representation of hardware. Replacements. Additional replacements, such as screws, guides, etc have been added to the Accessories category in the Merillat Classic catalog. MERILLAT TRAINING 8

To simplify ordering, in Design you can create XML files to import in procab. To create XML files, you must purchase the Application Integration Module (AIM) from Technologies. There is no fee to import into procab. A new XML Report is required for MC13R2 and later catalogs to be imported into procab. When generating XML files, be sure to select "Merillat procab and EDI" XML report type, at the bottom of the window. MERILLAT TRAINING 10

11 20 20 Merillat Order Form. With the introduction of options in the Merillat catalog, the nomenclature will not always match between and procab. To ease this transition we have worked with to create a custom Merillat Order Form. There is a new column on the Order Form called "Order Code" that will combine the cabinet and options for a full Order Code that can either be manually keyed into procab or used to compare to procab. Pricing. Although the Order Form will align the nomenclature between and procab, the pricing may not match line for line. Upcharges are not rolled up into each line item. The total price should match between and procab Design Version Compatibility. Merillat catalogs work with Design version 8.0 service pack 3 and higher. However, the Merillat Order Form only works with the latest service pack of each version. MERILLAT TRAINING 11
