4 Improve Efficiency and Accuracy TCGRx is excited to introduce its advanced light-guided, barcode-driven technology to a process that has remained unchanged for manually filling blister cards. The all-new SmartCardRx system was developed to help technicians and pharmacists speed up the filling process for multi-medication cards. Filling blister cards is labor-intensive, and checking the filled card can be even more tedious. SmartCardRx helps you increase productivity, allowing you to fill more scripts per day, more efficiently and accurately. SmartCardRx has a full interface with your pharmacy information system, minimizing the need to duplicate order entry. Once the order is transmitted to SmartCardRx and ready for fulfillment, the application illuminates to help guide technicians to properly fill each medication and quantity in each blister cell. The system uses a color scheme to ensure the proper placement and quantity of each medication: Green = One pill Blue = Multiple pills (quantity indicated in the cell on screen) Color-coded light patterns illuminate on the top monitor as well as under the blister cell to guide technicians to fill each blister. The same color-coded pattern is used to simplify the Pharmacist Check. Did you run out of a specific medication while filling your patient tray? The unique NDC substitution feature allows a user to change an NDC or medication brand to complete your patient s order. All you need is approval by your administrator to confirm the change, and you can continue finishing filling your tray! Red = Partial or half tab 4

5 Enhance Patient Safety The barcode-verified system assigns the trays to a patient order throughout the entire process, and certifies the correct NDC has been scanned, ensuring the right medication and strength is fulfilled for the right patient. Increase Productivity A user has the flexibility to fill up to 4 cards in one tray, with a choice of filling weekly or bi-weekly cards for multiple patients at a time, or a 4-week supply for one patient. In addition, the stackable trays allow the user to stage their workflow during filling, RPh checking and sealing, to help minimize pharmacist interruptions and assist in streamlining productivity. Barcode scan assigns trays to patient order. Generate Intuitive Reports SmartCardRx is equipped with a suite of intuitive reports to track patient medication history, NDC substitutions, lot and expiration dates, narcotics dispensing and more. The SmartCardRx software is designed with auto-scan readability to navigate quickly through the fulfillment, RPh check and sealing processes. Plastic tray covers ensure medications are contained in the correct blister cell. Trays are stackable to streamline productivity. 5

6 Support Patient Adherence The AdhereCard, used by the SmartCardRx system, prints a comprehensive medication index on the inside cover giving patients confidence that medications are packaged correctly. In addition, you can choose your preferred label style for the blister array. All labels will be printed with the date, day of week, pass time and patient name, or choose to also include medication dosage and strength with our perforated blisters for those on-the-go patients! Complete medication index provided on each weekly card with photos of each medication, giving confidence to patients the right medications are packaged. The intuitive design of SmartCardRx calculates pill volume per blister cell and prompts a pass time to roll over to the next column or second card to accommodate those patients with extensive medication regimens.
