The Lost Colony ran May 27 to August 20, 2016 Hatteras-Ocracoke Ferry using longer ferry route. NPS stats show recreational visits instead of total visits. NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island closed January 4, 2016-mid-May. for renovations. Counting visits to STAR Center. Hurricane Joaquin in September 2015 impacted visitation at many sites.
