Most of the leading centers report smaller figures than for. t>3 week before. IJew York City and Detroit report increases of Sl49,00C,0C0 and # 27,000,000, respectively, vhile Philadelphia shows a decline of $37)000,000, P itts burgh - a decline o f $30, 000, 000, and 3ostea - a decline of $ 25, 000, 000. As compared with the corresponding period in 1923, debits for :'.e week under review shew & decrease of $163,000,000. Chicago shows a decrease of CoS,000, 000, Boston - a decrease c f $57,000,000, and New York - a decrease o f 325, 000,000. Increases of $22,000,000 and $14,000,000, respectively, are reported, by Los Angeles and D etroit. Aggregate debits for the 141 centers for which figures have been published weekly since January, 1919, were 9, S i7,007,000 as compared with $9, 65,7^4,000 for the preceding week and $9,9 S, 246,000, for the week ending January 17, 1923* Debits to individual accounts _were Imported to the Federal Reserve Board for banks in 253 centers, of whicn 246 are included in the summary 'by Federal reserve d ist-ricts.
