Risk assessment and the regulations that are drafted in consequence vary from one country to another. For each tower project, Egis first investigates the specific context in the country of its location and determines the framework in terms of safety for the future building. Green building must be realistic and economically viable. The tower s great height offers advantages in this regard that are still not often acted upon: wind (wind turbine energy); light (solar power and the comfort of occupants); slenderness and spatial volumes (natural ventilation); density (pooling and optimization of energy sources), etc. The management of a tower construction site requires preparing a very detailed schedule for building on several levels simultaneously while avoiding any dangerous superimposition of works. The flows of workers and materials must also be minutely organized and controlled while adapting the worksite to the space available at the base of the building, which is often very limited.
