2 Geography Denmark has a border with Germany. Denmark and coastal areas of Southern Norway, Iceland and Western Sweden experience only occasional frost and snow during winter. 22 During the cooking class we made Apple Danish. A typical Danish food! 32 The Copenhagen Opera House (in Danish usually called Operaen) that opened in 2005 and is designed by Henning Larsen. It is the national opera house of Denmark and among the most modern opera houses in the world.

33 In 2001 a large offshore wind farm was built just off the coast of Copenhagen at Middelgrunden. It produces about 4% of the city's energy. This wind farm demonstrates the wish to produce energy through "natural" means. Copenhagen is recognized as one of the most environmentally friendly cities in the world.
