( B4371 Much Wenlock to Church Stretton ). The walk is mainly undulating with two short climbs, some road walking. Bring own food for coffee and lunch stops, pub stop at end of walk. Sun 17 Jul - Great Malvern to Ledbury via Eastnor Linear Walk - 12 miles M / S Helen NO WP MEET. Mini bus departs from The Roebuck CP, 384 Penn Road at 0815h. We LR139/Exp219 SO have permission to leave our cars at the back of the CP. Bring refreshments for a short stop planned at British Camp (pub, refreshment van and toilets). There should also be time for a drink in Ledbury before we depart Ledbury at 1730h. ETA The Roebuck is 1900h. Cost per person is or slightly more if a full minibus is not achieved. An undulating walk on the Staffordshire/Shropshire border using field paths, bridleways & quiet lanes. Drinks the Six Ashes pub on the A458 (some people may wish to the Six Ashes, as it's only a quarter mile from the start). There are many stiles in various states of repair, with some occasional rough terrain...but it's very scenic. Wed 3 Aug - Sedgley Circular - 4 miles L Brian :00 Barley Mow Inn, Pennwood Lane / Wakeley Hill - Penn Common. Could be a bit LR139/Exp219 SO muddy after rain! Sat 6 Aug - The Edvins HR7 4LL miles M Richard :30 West Park or 10:00 CP by Conquest Theatre, Tenbury Road, Bromyard. Drive LR149/Exp202 SO into Bromyard town centre, follow signs for Tenbury, CP (with toilets) on right. Ancient churches in undulating countryside with views from the Malverns to Titterstone Clee Hill, including parts of the Herefordshire Trail. No pubs on route but pubs in Bromyard after walk if desired. At least 20 stiles. Over Lawley, Little Caradoc, Caer Caradoc. This great walk has been produced by Jon, and is a great day LR137/Exp217 SO out. Lets hope for some nice weather to gain the fantastic views. Leaders not at West Park. Meet at railway driveway in Church Stretton, for a prompt start at 10am. The Railway Station has two parking locations, either 1st L off Sandford Avenue after the railway bridge or L at the traffic lights and then turn R almost immediately. Use the spaces for train users and not the P&D area. Footbridge gives access to either. Wed 24 Aug - tba - 4 miles L - The start venue for this walk will be announced closer to the date. A scenic walk heading upstream of the Severn on the West bank & taking in Apley Suspension Bridge & Station House, together with the lovely Astley Abbots.
