2 Transport for West Midlands, part of the West Midlands Combined Authority has made changes to the tendered (paid for) bus services in Solihull. In autumn 2018, we set out our proposals for a new tendered bus network in Solihull. This followed requests from Councillors, customers and groups. We asked for your views on the routes we were planning on making changes to. We have listened to your views and have made some changes to the tendered bus network to improve reliability, punctuality and to increase the overall number of passengers travelling. Some areas will benefit from a new bus service. Customers will benefit from new Euro 6 buses. These new low floor, low emission buses will run on most of the new bus routes from 24 February. Some areas are covered by more than one bus service. The tendered bus services numbers and letters have been changed. We have put all of the tendered services under the letter A. We have also grouped some service numbers and letters together that travel through the same areas eg A4 and A5 will serve Dickens Heath.

3 Existing Service Changes Operator S1 Solihull to Damsonwood Circular S2 - Cheswick Green to Dorridge via Solihull Renumbered A1. No change to route. A1 operates hourly - Monday to Saturday The S2 route will be split into the A6, A7 and A8 services below. The new services will cover the same stops*. A6 will operate hourly Monday to Saturday - from Cheswick Green to Solihull. Solihull - Widney Manor Dorridge Hockley Heath Blythe Valley Cheswick Green Solihull (circular route - clockwise) will be served hourly by either A7 or A7W. (See A8/A8W for anti-clockwise) A7W will serve the above route via Widney Manor Road from 07:00 to 09:00 and from 15:00 to last buses at 20:30 and 22:00. (Times are when buses leave Solihull Monday to Saturday) A7 will serve the above route via Alderminster Road (part of Widney Manor Road* not served) from 10:00 to 14:00. (Times are when buses leave Solihull Monday to Saturday. Journey to Aldeminster Road takes approximately 12 minutes) Sundays A7 will run hourly from Dorridge Hockley Heath Blythe Valley Cheswick Green Solihull (clockwise). Diamond Landflight

4 S2 (continued) Solihull Cheswick Green Blythe Valley Hockley Heath Dorridge Widney Manor Solihull (circular route anti-clockwise) will be served hourly by either A8 or A8W. (See A7/A7W for clockwise) S3 Wythall to Hockley Heath via Dickens Heath, Solihull & Knowle S3W Wythall to Hockley Heath via Solihull & Knowle A8W will serve the above route via Widney Manor Road from 06:30 to 08:30 and from 15:30 to last bus at 22:00 (Times are when buses leave Solihull Monday to Saturday) A8 will serve the above route via Alderminster Road (part of Widney Manor Road* not served) from 08:30 to 13:30 (Times are when buses leave Solihull Monday to Saturday. Journey to Alderminster Road will take approximately 1 hour 13 minutes) Sundays A8 will run hourly from Solihull Cheswick Green Blythe Valley - Hockley Heath Dorridge (anti-clockwise). Dorridge is also served by A3. See S3 changes for information. The S3 and S3W routes will be split into the services below. The new services below will cover the same stops. A3 will operate between Solihull and Dorridge via Knowle. Three journeys per day will extend to Hockley Heath, two of these will be co-ordinated with start and finish times with Arden Academy. A3 operates hourly - Monday to Saturday A4 will operate between Inkford Brook (Wythall) and Solihull via Dickens Heath. A4 operates hourly - Monday to Saturday Combined with A5 gives half hourly service between Dickens Heath and Solihull - Monday to Saturday. Landflight Landflight

5 S3 (continued) S10 Solihull to Cranes Park via Sheldon S11 Solihull circular via Buryfield Road and Bryanston Road S15 Solihull circular via Widney Lane 69 Shirley to Brandwood Park 82 Solihull to Coventry via Meriden A5 will operate hourly between Dickens Heath and Solihull. Combined with A4 gives half hourly service from Dickens Heath and Solihull - Monday to Saturday. A5 operates hourly on a Sunday. Hockley Heath to Solihull will be served by A7/A8. See S2 changes for information. Renumbered A10. No change to route or timetable. Renumbered A2. Similar route to existing S11 but will use School Lane and Grove Road instead of Lode Lane for part of the route. Extended hours of operation. A2 operates hourly Monday to Saturday S15 Withdrawn by commercial operator. S15 partly replaced by a rerouted will operate between Solihull and Brandwood Park. The hourly 69 route will be extended from Shirley to Solihull. It will operate in both directions along the existing S15 route. Sainsbury s will still be served. 6 87 Solihull to Coventry via Balsall Common 88 Solihull to Balsall Common via Knowle 87 will operate Solihull to Coventry via Balsall Common. 87 will follow its current route from Solihull to Fen End Road junction via Knowle and will then serve Fen End Road and Holly Lane into the Jaguar Land Rover site before re-joining its current route to Coventry. Balsall Street and Alder Lane (part) will be served by 88A. Split into two routes 88 and 88A. Both the 88 and 88A will operate every 2 hours from Solihull to Hallmeadow Road in Balsall Common making a combined hourly route between Solihull and Knowle. 88 will follow its current route between Solihull and Oldwich Lane East. From Oldwich Lane East it will go into the Jaguar Land Rover site before re-joining its existing route at Oldwich Lane East up to Balsall Common. The route is then extended to Hallmeadow Road to serve Balsall Common Health Centre and Berkswell rail station. 88A will follow the current 88 route to Knowle and will then follow the current 87 route to Balsall Common serving Balsall Street and Alder Lane (part). The service will also be extended to Hallmeadow Road to serve Balsall Common Health Centre and Berkswell rail station. Johnsons Johnsons

7 New links, new bus services and extended timetables A bus service for School Lane and Grove Road and more time for leisure/access to work (A2) you asked for, we listened. Extended operating hours of the (A1) you asked for us to trial running this for longer hours, and we listened. New link from Brandwood Park to Solihull (69). Bus services to Solihull, Coventry and Balsall Common for Jaguar Land Rover workers based at Fen End (87 and 88) - you asked for, we listened. Better links to serve Berkswell rail station and Balsall Common Health Centre (88/88A) you asked for, we listened. Retain a bus service for Chadwick End (88A) you asked for, we listened. Preserving direct links between Wythall and Tidbury Green and Solihull town centre rather than terminating this at Shirley (A4 and A5) you asked us to maintain this route, we listened. A bus service from Solihull to Blythe Valley Business Park, Tesco (stops on Stratford Road) and Notcutts Garden Centre (stops on Stratford Road) (A7/A7W clockwise, A8/A8W anti-clockwise) you asked for, we listened. A bus service for Tanworth Lane Surgery on Tanworth Lane (A7/A7W clockwise, A8/A8W anti-clockwise).
