1 Proposed changes to bus services in South Yorkshire from February 2019 The details below reflect the known situation at the time this list was compiled. Buses that run from and to Sheffield will run as service X74 between Sheffield and Rotherham (see below). Saturday service will operate every 30 minutes. This service will no longer run and is partly replaced by new services 113 and 208 (see below). New service partly replacing service 34 (see below); between Rotherham and Whiston buses will serve Rotherham General Hospital and Spinneyfield. Proposed change to the frequency: buses may run every 30 minutes maintaining the current fare or alternatively run every 20 minutes with the fare between Doncaster and Scawsby increasing to 2.00, subject to public consultation. This service will no longer run and will be replaced by changes to services 135, 136 and 138 (see below). Rerouted to serve East Dene (Far Lane) partly replacing services 111 and 112 (see above); during the daytime on Mondays to Saturdays buses will run every 20 minutes and will combine with new service 116 to provide a bus every 10 minutes along Doncaster Road. Renumbered from 37 and rerouted in Eastwood to run along Doncaster Road instead of Fitzwilliam Road. In Thorpe Hesley all journeys will run along Chapelfield Road, with additional buses running between Rotherham and High Green at commuter times, partly replacing service 66 (see above). Daytime frequency will be every 30 minutes providing a common 15 minute service between Rotherham and Kimberworth Park, The Plough with service 141. Evening and Sunday journeys replaced by services 36 and 138 Changes to the route: in Wingfield and Kimberworth Park buses will run along Town Lane, Lapwater Road and Roughwood Road; in Masbrough buses will run directly along New Wortley Road. This service will no longer run and is partially replaced by new service 136 covering Rotherham to Wentworth, Elsecar and Hoyland. No replacement evening journeys or Sunday service is provided. Nether Hague becomes unserved. Changes to the times; during the daytime on Mondays to Saturdays buses will run hourly with additional buses during the early morning and late evening to maintain links to employment sites. See also new service X74 (below) that will provide a Sheffield direct link every 15 minutes at peak times. Proposed changes to the route to serve St James Retail Park and may also serve Chancet Wood, subject to public consultation. Changes to the times; during the daytime on Mondays to Fridays buses will run every 15 minutes and be coordinated with the new X10 to provide a bus every 7/8 minutes; see also changes to service X10 (below) network no make the services sustainable. network no make the services sustainable. Additional buses introduced during the daytime on Mondays to Saturdays. In Herringthorpe buses will run along Badsley Moor Lane and Moor Lane South partly replacing service 114 (see above). In Flanderwell X10 First Sheffield Meadowhall Rotherham buses will run directly along Fleming Way; Markfield Maltby SteelLink Drive will be served by service 4 and new service 113 (see above). Buses will serve Woodlaithes at commuter times on Mondays to Fridays, partly replacing service X3 (see above). See also changes to service X1 (above). X74 First Sheffield Tinsley Park Rotherham X78 First Sheffield Meadowhall Rotherham Doncaster New service. At commuter times on Mondays to Friday buses will run up to every 15 minutes, serving Parkway Industrial Estate, Waverley, Tinsley Park, Tinsley and Templeborough. During the daytime on Mondays to Fridays the frequency of buses will increased to every 12 minutes. Please note that the service will not be reintroduced into Pitt Street, South Street and Deepdale Road. Service 208 will provide a regular direct link from Thurcroft to Sheffield serving Meadowhall. Improved X1/X10 service up to every 7/8 minutes providing better access to employment and education with connections (same bus) to service 10/10a. Improved direct access from Sheffield to employment sites at Parkway Markets, Waverley and Tinsley Park. Improved service for better access to employment and education. Residential parking and blocked roads mean the service will not be reintroduced into Pitt Street, South Street and Deepdale Road. Other timetable changes will take place to some services to improve punctuality but will not involve route changes.
