(invested by Nippon Steel Corp., Mitsui & Co., Ltd., Nippon Steel Transportation Co., Ltd., Nippon Express Co., Ltd., Sankyu Co., Ltd. and the of Kitakyushu) Operation commenced in July, 1998 Processing capacity of approx. 18,000 tons/year Constructed with specifically aided fund for the Eco-Town Project by METI Home Appliance Recycling Plant (Outlook of the Plant) (Working scene) According to the Home Appliance Recycling Law, electrical household appliances (TV sets, refrigerators, washing machines, air-conditioners, and freezers) are dismantled and separated to high degree, producing high-quality recycled raw materials.
