(invested by Nippon Steel Corp., Mitsui & Co., Ltd., Nippon Steel Transportation Co., Ltd., Nippon Express Co., Ltd., Sankyu Co., Ltd. and the of Kitakyushu) Operation commenced in July, 1998 Processing capacity of approx. 18,000 tons/year Constructed with specifically aided fund for the Eco-Town Project by METI Home Appliance Recycling Plant (Outlook of the Plant) (Working scene) According to the Home Appliance Recycling Law, electrical household appliances (TV sets, refrigerators, washing machines, air-conditioners, and freezers) are dismantled and separated to high degree, producing high-quality recycled raw materials. Project leader: Nishinihon Kaden Recycle Corporation (Invested by Toshiba Corp., TERM Corp., Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., Hitachi, Ltd., Mitsubishi Electric Corp., Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd., Sharp Corp., Sony Corp., and Fujitsu General Ltd.)
