After that, JAZA established the emergency assistance system immediately and have done our best to support the affected institutions. Please see the details on The 30 days JAZA assistance activities. We have had aftershocks every day, but all of 156 JAZA member institutions do their best to open the door to welcome the visitors, except Yagiyama Zoological Park, Aquamarine Fukushima and Marinepia Matsushima Aquarium (planned to re-open on April 23). At this hard time, all of the people in Japan need to have their beautiful smile and to get the power for restoration. We are waiting for your coming. The middle- and long-term restoration and reintegration will be our task from now on. Also it is the key issues for whole of JAZA members to endure and develop of zoos and aquariums, and to contribute to society under the economic recovery of the whole country. All of JAZA member institutions will cooperate together and do our best for fulfillment. Finally, I would like to ask a support to affected institutions again. We ve already got lots of kind support, however to think about the damage and the operation & maintenance, we have to continue to ask you to help us. Please kindly support and assist us.
