2 LIVIGNO, A GREAT WINTER IN THE BEST EUROPEAN RESORT Elected last year as the best Resort in the world for winter sports, Livigno opens officially the winter season on the 30th of November for alpine ski and in the first days of November for cross-country. Freeride, Family Week and programmed snow on the cross-country slope are the news for coming winter. The tops of the mountains are already white, there is not much let to the winter season 2013/2014, which starts officially at the end of November for the Small Tibet, as the locality in Alta Valtellina at 1816 meters over the sea is called. From the first days of November the cross-country slopes will be open thanks to the programmed snow-making system. It s big news for the lovers of the discipline and the athletes of many National Teams to start training on perfect snow conditions. Alpine slopes will officially open on 30th of November; start also of the Skipass Free promotion for the periods 1-20 December 2013 and 5 April to 1 May Skipass Free is an advantageous proposal that will meet the needs of those who do not want to miss the opportunity to ski and make a winter holiday at a great price. In these periods, in fact, you do not pay the ticket if you are staying in hotels and apartments adhering with the initiative. Concerning promotions, Livigno takes also care of families and kids. Special promotions will be from 18 to 25 January, from 22 to 29 March and from 29 March to 5 April with special stay offers and services as the ski school, the kindergarten and the equipment rent. Here the details: "Family Week - Kids Go Free" offers a gratuity for kids under 12 years of age accompanied by two paying adults and the discount of 50% for each kid more (always under 12 years of age) with free stay in hotel or apartments adhering to the offer, renting of the material, skipass and ski school. Let s make an example: in a family of two adults and two kids less than 12 years of age, the stay, the skipass, the ski school and the rent will be free for the younger kid, with a 50% discount for the second kid and at full price for the adults. It s a promotion for the under 12 but also for the families that can find in Livigno 2 kindergarten, 2 Snowparks, 6 alpine ski schools, 1 snowboard school and 1 for cross-country for a total of 150 ski teachers. Big news for the winter in Livigno is the possibility of practicing Freeride in special areas with daily updating of snow and weather condition Freeride is loved by many foreign skiers who visit Livigno, as to become also known internationally and win in 2012 the price Best European Ski Resort at the Snow Awards in London. And this year, for the Awards that will take place on the first days of November, Livigno is in nomination as Best Family Resort. For the Best European Resort there are also big Events, putting Livigno among the world winter tourism capitals. Starting at the end of November with the Christmas Markets, going on with La Sgambeda from 11 to 15 December, a FIS Marathon Cup cross-country race which has last year seen as winner the Norwegian athlete Petter Northug. And in January it s the turn of the World Rookie Fest, from 6 to 11, event for snowboarder under 16 aiming at the scouting of future talents. From 16 to 18 January the Italian Championships of the Fireman, then from 1 to 8 March Carnival in local style with the traditional carts and the masks also on the ski slopes.

3 Winter season in Livigno is long and ends, as usual, on the first of May. In April we can find two international events: La Skieda, from 29 March to 5 April, telemark event considered as one of the best events in the world and the Fiat Nine Knights from 1 to 6 April, free ski contest where the best nine athletes in the world will challenge in tricks, jumps on a medieval castle build entirely with snow. LIVIGNO, WINTER 2013/14: FEEL THE ALPS SKIPASS FREE MEANS SNOW IS FOR FREE Skipass Free is the right offer to enjoy the snow. This successful program has been confirmed also for the winter 2013/2014: those who will book at least four night in hotel or seven nights in apartment will have the skipass included. Attention: this program is valid from 01 December to 20 December and from 05 April to 1 May BABY FREE: SLOPES DESIGNED EXPECIALLY FOR KIDS Livigno pays a special attention to the younger guests: a big skiing area only for the kids, to take confidence with the snow and learn how to ski. Kids get the right offer: until age 7 the will ski for free with Baby Free. The offer is valid for all those born after , if accompanied by a paying adult. The skipass will give access to the whole ski area. 3x4, SKIING WITH THE FAMILY A family with 2 adults and two children (born between 1998 and 2005) buying three skipasses, will get a fourth for free. The offer is valid for the whole winter season, and for holidays of at least six days, except for the period 28 December 2013 until 6 January SATURDAY S SKIING In Livigno Saturday s skiing is cheaper: the skipass costs only 33,00 Euro. This offer is valid from 11 January until 29 March 2014.

4 A SKI AREA WHICH IS A NEVER ENDING ADVENTURE THE IDEAL SLOPE FOR EVERY NEED Livigno is a snow paradise, surrounded by hills and amazing nature, with lots of sun and a high altitude climate: an unbeatable ski resort. The season in Livigno starts at the end of November until beginning of May, with 115 km of slopes between and m, 12 black slopes including the exciting Giorgio Rocca course, 37 red and 29 blue slopes, connected by 6 cable cars, 14 chairlifts and 11 skilifts on both mountain sides. You will never stand queuing: persons can be transported every hour on the mountains, and 110 snow machines assure the preparation of the slopes up to 80%, supported by 40 machines. SKI SEASON FROM NOVEMBER TO MAY The season starts very early in Livigno, due to its geographical location and the low temperatures. Slopes are on 6 differents mountain sides: the snow and the sun are guaranteed from November/December until May. SNOWPARKS FOR DOUBLE EMOTIONS Mottolino Fun Mountain hosts the best snowpark in Italy with four jumping lines and rails, suitable to everyone, beginners or pro, snowboarder or skier. A day of ski at Mottolino di Livigno ski area will be a mix of emotion and fun! On the other mountain side you will practice acrobatic jumps, trick and adrenalin downhills at the Carosello 3000 snowpark on the Polvere slope. Not to be missed: the Bag Jump, a huge inflatable structure which will let you try out any exercises in absolute security. FOR THE KIDS, A WORLD OF COLOURS AND FUN In the two snow kindergarten on the snow, your kids will be assisted by qualified supervisors. In addition, other play areas are available at the skilift stations located in the valley: together with Mascotte Lupigno, a good wolf full of energy. 6 ski schools will allow you to improve the technique, together with a snowboard and a cross country ski school. 30 shops will provide rental services. NEW 2014 Special weeks for kids: 18 / 25 January / 29 March March / 05April 2014 TAKE A BREAK ON THE SLOPE Between the runs, take a break in the sun: with 6 restaurants and 2 self-service restaurants on the mountains, many aprés-ski and bars. THE PARADISE FOR CROSS COUNTRY 30 km of slopes in the valley, constantly prepared and free of charge, easier or more technical but always exposed to the sun. Depending on the weather, already at the end of October a course will be opened for the most impatient cross country skiers. Many of the strongest athletes choose to fine-tune their training on high altitude at m, just before the start of the World Cup races.

7 LIVIGNO GENERAL INFO There is a different Livigno, in every season and for every age. Livigno has become one of the most famous resort in the Alps, and offers different good reasons to decide to spend a holiday: duty free shopping, wellness and relax in the biggest wellness center in Europe but also restaurants, coffee bars, pubs and more. In addition, the pleasure to discover the old alpine traditions, with the inspiring spirit of the past. GEOGRAPHY Livigno, the biggest winter resort in Lombardia and one of the main in the Alps, is located between Switzerland and Italy, surrounded by national parks (Stelvio end Swiss, in the Engadine). At 1800 m above the sea, in a valley streched for 23 km between two mountain fronts with peaks up to 3000 m altitude, Livigno is well known for his long line of traditional houses made of wood and stone. His traditions, architecture and culture keep their roots deeply in the alpine culture. The river Spol flows into the Inn and reaches the Black Sea (with the Donau), not the Mediterranean like all other rivers in the Alps. This peculiar geographical position is a guarantee for heavy snowfalls all over the winter, with perfectly prepared slopes from November until May. HOSPITALITY 105 hotels, 25 garni and over 1000 apartments: this is the hospitality industry of Livigno, which is unrivalled in the Alps and offers a total number of beds about the half in hotels. Modern wellness facilities, spa with beauty farms, gyms and swimming pools in many hotels. LATTERIA DI LIVIGNO Latteria di Livigno was born in the 50s as an association, under the initiative of a restricted number of producers. Today it counts 210 members, divided unto 125 small and medium farmer enterprises, in the area of Livigno and Trepalle. With the aim of promoting the development of the mountain environment and reinforcing the whole agricultural sector, the association agreed on the realization of a new main building. Located in via Pemont, by the lake of Livigno, the structure has been designed to allow the visitors a direct view into the whole milk production. In small rooms called stue it is possible to taste different milk products, and discover the history and tradition of the farmers from Livigno and Trepalle in a multimedia presentation. A photo exhibition and many traditional tools help the visitor to discover a world made of passion, traditions and love for the territory. GASTRONOMY Buckwheat is the main ingredient in many Livigno recipes: black polenta ideal with mushrooms and venison. During the winter season in Livigno many restaurants propose inusual dishes, mostly based on natural ingredients. For the whole year, many specialty such as mushrooms, berries, dried meat and venison, mountain cheese, honey and typical regional wines, ideal to be tasted in the mountain climate. I LOVE MOUNTAIN SHOPPING Livigno is an open air shopping mall, with 250 duty free shops sorrounded by enchanted landscapes, relaxing atmosphere and ideal climate. You will find here the best fashion brands, a great selection of watches, liquors, tobaccoes, perfumes and hi-tech selection: a real open air shopping arena, away from traffic and crowd at 1800 m, high altitude and high luxus.

8 ENTERTAINMENTS Every evening in Livigno there is a party: aprés-ski and happy hours, alpine gastronomy, mountain dining, pubs and discos. SKI, BUT NOT ONLY In the little Tibet you will be able to practice all snow sports, starting already from November and until May: telemark, orienteering, nordic walking, snowshoes, ice climbing, snow motorbikes, horse sledges and horse riding excursions. In Livigno you only need to decide how to enjoy the dimension of a winter wonderland. BUSINESS AT HIGHEST LEVEL The hotel infrastructure and the expo and congress center at Plaza Placheda are the ideal infrastructure to host in Livigno a congress, workshop, fair, sport and cultural activities. Hi-tech facilities and top infrastructure, under the supervision of the APT touristic office, will make the success of your business event particularly competitive. LIVIGNO WI-FI Livigno goes faster : here sometimes new technologies anticipate the future, such as for instance the wi-fi free spots, free of charge and installed by APT Livigno touristic office. They are located around Plaza Placheda and in the two playgrounds Don Bosco and San Rocco: a concrete step to improve in the hospitality, looking into the future. Even some ski slopes are wi-fi connected: skiers and snowboarders will be able to use Internet not only on the snow, but also around the Carosello 3000 and rifugio Costaccia, including the Carosello Snowpark. On the opposite side of the mountain, wi-fi connected are Camanel di Planon and M Eating. Last but not least, Livigno is working on different apps in order to provide the guest with constant information, in real time.
