3 Friday, October 5 Arrive New York City. Transfer on your own to Tarrytown. Check-in at hotel for your 3 nights stay: Castle on the Hudson 400 Benedict Avenue Tarrytown, NY Tel: (914) Your room has been confirmed and the hotel rate has been prepaid; however, additional expenses accrued while at the hotel must be settled upon check out. You will be asked for a credit card upon check in. Daily breakfast included. 2:00 pm Tour Lyndhurst, a Gothic Revival style mansion. The beautiful gardens will take approximately 45 minutes to explore. 4:00 to 5:00 pm Private tour of Sunnyside, Washington Irving s home. Sunnyside and its grounds were uniquely designed by its owner, the renowned author Washington Irving. Famous for his characters in The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, including Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman, Irving s works have captivated audiences for over a century. The grounds are a realization of the romantic themes pervasive in Irving s writing. The design is meant to look natural in leading the eye along the gently sloping lines of the roof dormers and down to the shrubbery and water features. The surrounding wisteria vine combines nature and the man-made. 7:00 pm Dinner at Sunset Cove

4 Saturday, October 6 8:00 am Depart for the town of Hudson, approximately 1:00 hour from the hotel. 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Private tour of Olana, the former home of Frederic Edwin Church and the birthplace of the first school of American painting. Olana was built high on a hill near Hudson, New York between 1870 and :30 pm Lunch at Swoon in the historic village of Hudson. 3:00 pm Tour of Lindenwald, the home of Martin Van Buren, purchased by the former President in He operated a successful 191-acre farm on the 225- acre estate and experimented with cultivating new varieties of vegetables. The original Georgian-style brick house was built in Van Buren removed the stairway and hung fashionable French scenic wallpaper in the center hall, which could then be used for banquets and balls. If time allows, you will have a quick viewing of the Richard B. Fisher Center for Performing Arts, designed by architect Frank Gehry. The remainder of the afternoon will be at leisure for shopping or antiquing. Dinner on your own.

5 Sunday, October 7 9:30 am Depart for the town of New Paltz, approximately 1:15 hours from the hotel. 10:30 am to 12:30 pm Tour of the Dia: Beacon Gallery. The Dia Art Foundation has become internationally recognized as one of the world s most influential contemporary art institutions. After the tour, you are free to explore the galleries on your own. 1:00 pm Lunch at the Mohonk Mountain House. Lake Mohonk is today as it was when Alfred H. Smiley saw it in 1869 during his visit to the Shawangunks on a picnic outing. He envisioned a peaceful retreat where people could enjoy the beauty of nature in a truly spectacular setting, so he purchased the property from John F. Stokes and eventually turned the property s ten-room inn and tavern into the grand house it is today. 3:30 to 5:00 pm Private tour of Boscobel House and Gardens. The Boscobel mansion dates from the early 1800's and contains one of the nation's leading collections of furniture and decorative arts from the Federal period. Enjoy the rose garden, orangerie, herb garden and Woodland Trail. The Museum Shop has a wonderful collection of books and gifts. At the end of the mansion tour, visitors are treated to cookies and a refreshing drink. 8:00 pm Dinner at the Culinary Institute of America.

6 Monday, October 8 9:00 am Tour Kykuit House and Inner Gardens, home to four generations of Rockefellers. After the tour, lunch will be at a local restaurant as you make your way to the Union Church of Pocantico Hills. The Church is famous for its Matisse and Chagall stainedglass windows. Thereafter, you will make your way to the airport for your departure. Pricing: Land cost $ Donation to the Michael C.
