A resume is distributed for major events booked by the Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association. The resume outlines certain aspects of this group and is meant to help you schedule and plan more efficiently. The resume should be used to educate your employees about what events are in the city. It also serves as an awareness piece for those who might have an opportunity to be in contact with participants and fans. The information on the resume is a brief outline only. 2 RESUME FOR THE 2008 OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon GROUP BACKGROUND: 2008 marks the 32nd running of the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini- Marathon. The starting line is on ashington Street in front of the Indiana State Museum. Runners and walkers will be lined up down ashington Street from the starting line back to Illinois Street/Artsgarden. RACE DATE: Saturday, May 3, 2008 RACE START TIMES: heelchair: 7:30 AM Mini: 7:33 AM 5K: 8:25 AM ATTENDANCE: 35,000+ for mini-marathon 3,500+ for 5K Total attendance including spectators is likely between 80,000 90,000 PACKET PICK-UP & EXPO: Indiana Convention Center, Halls A & B 9:00 PM Thursday, May 1, :00 PM 8:00 PM Friday, May 2, :00 AM There is NO race day packet pick-up Expo is FREE and open to the public and features guest speakers, interactive activities for all ages, including race simulator and over 70 exhibitors. FINISHING TIMES: EB ADDRESS: heelchair participants will begin finishing at approximately 8:19 AM Elite runners will begin finishing at approximately 8:34 AM Many runners will finish in between 9:15 AM 10:00 AM The race officially ends at approximately 12 noon.

4 FOOD & BEVERAGE: Dinner, Friday, May 2 - Runners may be looking for heavy carbs on Friday night - Mini-Marinarathon pre-race pasta buffet and party held at the estin, Grand Ballroom. $22. 5:30pm- 8:30pm. To purchase tickets call (317) or tickets can be purchased at the door. - Breakfast: Saturday, May 3 - Runners will be looking for a quick breakfast. Bananas, apple, bagel, energy bar, etc. - Restaurants are advised to open as early as 5am to accommodate the guests and fans looking for a full service breakfast. Lunch: Saturday, May 3 - Post-Race Party at Military Park from 10:00am 2:00pm with live entertainment, beer garden, food court and vendors.
