5 PRIOR TO MOVE-IN CHECKLIST Visit the McKendree University Residence Life page ( to view the housing options provided by McKendree. Pay the Damage Deposit through the following website You will not receive your housing assignment until the University has received your $200 deposit. Fill out the housing application. On the housing application, you will be able to rank the living options you prefer, as well as pick your meal plan. Complete the Confidential Medical History and Immunization Record by August 7th, which can be found online at Visit the following website to view your housing placement: housing.mckendree.edu Contact your roommate(s) to get to know them and discuss who will bring specific items for the room. Familiarize yourself with the information covered in the Student Handbook ( Relax and enjoy summer while move-in approaches.

6 DAY OF MOVE-IN Travel safely to the McKendree campus. Once you arrive at McKendree, check the map provided to locate your residential area. After locating your residential area, check-in with the Residence Life staff to receive your keys. Once you receive your keys, check out your room. Following looking over your room, unload your personal items in the designated unloading areas. Please move your vehicles so others can unload after you. Once you place your belongings in your new room, please check in for New Student Orientation (NSO) near the Liar. NSO checkin will take place from 8 AM-10 AM* on the grass between Walton Hall and Barnett Hall. Attend Convocation at 11 AM on the front lawn. Convocation is a business-casual event. *Arrive after 10 AM for NSO? All NSO material will be in the Admissions Office in the Piper Academic Center (PAC) after 10 AM.

8 INSURANCE, BEDDING AND LAUNDRY Renter's Insurance Renter's insurance is highly r ecommended for s tudents attending McKendree University. We recommend National Student Service, INC. The National Student Services, INC website can be located at Bedding McKendree provides students with extra-long twin mattresses (Twin-XL). Our Campus Market has been a long-time provider of Twin-XL bedding at an affordable price for McKendree students. To view their bedding options, go to mckendree.ocm.com. Laundry McKendree University offers numerous laundry facilities around campus. Once you arrive on campus, we suggest that you talk to a Residence Life staff member to locate the nearest laundry facilities. McKendree utilizes laundry machines that can be operated by quarters or an app that lets students pay for laundry services. McKendree West uses only quarter operated machines for laundry facilities. Change Machines McKendree has two locations on campus where students can exchange $1 and $5 bills for quarters. One change machine is located in the Lair on the main campus and one change machine is located at the McKendree West Clubhouse.

9 BOGEY BUS Shuttle Service Jump on board the Bogey Bus! McKendree offers shuttle transportation all around our Lebanon campus. The shuttle runs Monday through Friday in 20 minute loops.
