1 Accommodation list 2014 This list of approved accommodation has been compiled to make it easier for pilgrims to find places to stay in the local area. As you may already know, we have very limited accommodation here at Skanda Vale, particularly during the summer months. All the accommodation has been checked and verified as being suitable for pilgrims; this means that vegetarian food will be available, and there should not be any problems with pilgrims leaving early for the 5am puja. We would however like to remind pilgrims to leave quietly when attending the early pujas, so as not to disturb other guests. Other unapproved local accommodation can be found by calling the Carmarthen Tourist Office on The office is open seven days a week, between 10am and 5pm during the summer. Transport to Skanda Vale and Carmarthen can be provided; 10 single journey or 20 return, subject to availability. This is a four star farm guest house, with two self contained cottages one of which is able to sleep 6, the other sleeps 4. Two rooms are en-suite, one with adapted bathroom facilities for people with disabilities. The family room shares the en-suite. Advance bookings from small groups accepted for midweek stays, and last minute bookings at weekends. Weekend exclusive use (for up to 32 people): 650 for a 2 night stay. Each cottage has a bathroom and an en-suite shower room with fully equipped modern kitchens. The two bedrooms sleep four and an extra double sofa bed is also available in the lounge. We provide bed linen and towels, and a TV / AV system and wi-fi is available. Short breaks are available for minimum 3 nights stay, from 240 to 560. A per person per night tariff of 25 is available for a large party needing additional beds.
