3 Research Station at the top of puy de Dôme The puy de Dôme Research Station, central France, is located at 1465 m asl on the first mountain chain facing dominant western winds. PDD is inside boundary layer during daytime in spring/summer, PDD is representative of free troposphere during night and rest of the year.
