10 BTV-8 8 SITUATION IN NEARBY COUNTRIES
11 CONCLUSIONS No outbreaks of BTV-8 in Campo de Gibraltar LVU since November 21 European Countries that has been affected by BTV-8, with some exceptions, are free Countries more geographically close to Spain: Portugal, France and Morocco are free of BTV-8. The monitoring and surveillance program implemented in Spain observes the requirements set out in Annex I of Regulation 1266/27 as regards the monitoring in order to provide the Commission with substantiated information demonstrating the absence of bluetongue virus circulation in an epidemiological relevant geographical area during a period of two years Program s results in the last 2 years (including 3 full vector activity period): there have no been BTV-8 circulation in Campo de Gibraltar LVU Spain is in position to declare BTV-8 freedom in Campo de Gibraltar LVU
