1 Venice Rent a riverboat at Casale sul Sile and the Venice Lagoon Sail from our base in Casale and spend time in cruising to the classic Venetian islands in the northern lagoon - Murano, Burano and Torcelli and Son Erasmo - and use a few days enjoying Venice's fabled and beautiful waterways. Some of the oldest settlements in the Venetian lagoon can be visited on the islands and the century-old traditions of lace and glass-blowing can still be experienced. This sailing can also be done as a 3 day break - it just reduces the time of the visit to the islands. The charming city of Venice, surrounded by the islands and the classic Italian countryside and beaches are in front of you to explore and enjoy from your sundeck. Sail towards Trieste and discover the ancient traditions and a more quiet lifestyle and unspoiled landscapes in the region of Friuli. To the south in the Venetian Lagoon is the protected nature reserve on the Po Delta and home to many colorfol and authentic cities.

There are excellent views and a unique sailing opportunities. The many surrounding islands - Murano, Burano, Torcello, Sant' Erasmo and Chioggis show glimpses of the Venetian culture, art and history and is a must to visit. Boating vacation at Precenicco and Friuli The new base in this more rural area is called Precenicco - and is found middle of the country a few miles from some of the most famous beaches. The region is called Friuli and is located in the north-east - close to the Slovenian border. Here you will find the authentic Italian atmosphere, far from the stress and the hectic life in Venice. A boating holiday in Friuli is lovely and peaceful - more like a boat vacation in France, but with much fewer locks. The channels are easy to sail and the clean environment and the historic towns along the route will ensure that you feel transported to an authentic Italian atmosphere. Unlike sailing in the Venetian Lagoon, Friuli is characterized by many public berthing places where they can dock during the week without having to pay the high fees as in private marinas. There is paths along the canals - good for cycling. Friuli is also popular for its golden beaches and clear waters and many tourists flock each year to the area. In addition, the area is one of the main wine producing regions in Italy with many DOC quality wines. In the well-known winery Collino close to the base, you can buy some fine wines. The region is known for its history, beaches, wines, good weather and sailing. History: there are so many cultural attractions you can imagine. The cultural capital of northeast Italy Trieste is located not far from here. The great city of Aquileia, which was founded by the Romans centuries before the founding of Venice, can be visited. You can add the charming fishing town of Marano, completely restored and where there is a large fish market. Caorle with its natural lagoon and its historic center with the round bell tower from the 10th century and the town of Grado - called the Venice of the East - a restored

3 town built on an island in the middle of the lagoon are some of the attractions you should not miss. The beaches: the town Lignano is known in many parts of Europe for its golden sandy beaches. You can sail with the boat only a few meters from the sea. There are great opportunities for a day sunbathing and swimming in the sea. Wines: the province is home to the DOC nominees wines from Collio region. The region is dominated by whites, who produce five times as much as red wine. Collio wines are typical with good body and mixed to Fruilano and Ribolla Gialla Malvasia Istriana, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon blanc. Red wines under the name Collio Rosso made from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Weather: the season is usually long and the weather stable. The temperature in the summer is usually around 30 degrees. There will be cooler air from the Alps not be many miles away and the fresh air makes the climate pleasant. The farvare channels located close to the coastline and prevent interruption of sailing p.gr. of drought or possible rain periods. The water level in the canals is controlled with sea water level and this usually guarantee good sailing conditions. 12 About River Holidays About boating holidays in Italy - Practical Tips Sailing in Italy is a both romantic and unique experience. Enjoy Venice - one of the world's most beautiful and cities and visit the colorful surrounding small islands in the lagoon. Sailing in the Po Delta or on the beautiful rivers Brenta and Sile. Sailing in Italy Venice lagoon requires some sailing experience. The lagoon is directly linked to the Adriatic Sea, and up to 1 m tide may occur. Sailing out at sea is prohibited. In Laguen and around the city of Venice, there are significantly more traffic than on the canals - a lively and very interesting jumble of tourist boats, water buses, water taxis and commercial boats, all of which have unconditional priority. To maneuver here - require control and vigilance! Tides By mooring: Be aware of the up to 1 m tide in the lagoon, so the boat will not suddenly stand because at low tide, or are inclined moorings at high tide - at the risk of damage to the boat. The boat is moored with sufficient slack adapted so that it can follow the tide up and down. locks and bridges Locks and bridges are often closed between approximately 12:30 to 14:00. Brenta Canal (Padova): normally closed on Mondays. Delta del Po Park: always open. Silea lock against Treviso center: Opening Order two days in advance. Hear always base of any changes. 13 San Marco and to St di Elena (can be arranged with base staff before departure). From there, frequent water buses ("vaporetto") to the center for sightseeing. You can also choose to be in the lovely and modern marina at Jesolo (on the other side of the lagoon) - and take the water bus over to Venice. Venice's internal channels such as Canal Grande is NOT used for navigation. The islands of Burano and Torcello around Venice is adorable as attending the boat, but it can be challenging to find appropriate fortøjringspladser. Vaporetto (water bus) Sailing in regular trades all day and approximately midnight. It pays to buy a voucher, valid for x number of trips or for 24, 48 mm hours. Water Taxis Small sailing fast boats that you just have to watch out for when sailing in navigation channels. Hours generally: 08:30 to 12:30 and 16:00 to 19:00. Some are closed on Sundays, others on Mondays. Open market located in Riva Vena Chioggia (closed Sundays). Large market day Thursday 08th-13.00: Corso del Popolo in Chioggia. And both Chioggia and Venice's's major fish markets worth a visit.

14 Ask a precaution at the base upon arrival. Restaurants There are many opportunities to enjoy the world-famous Italian cuisine at some of the many restaurants that are found in many different levels - both price and quality. Sail throughs the water level in the lagoon are several places even very low so you sail through narrow channels marked with the "Briccola". The system is simple to follow and there are also smaller and larger "intersection", but you will soon find out the system. You also get to foot instructions with pictures on arrival and the system is clearly described with photos in the channel map book. The Venetian waterways can be pretty busy, so we recommend the area for people with prior knowledge. Biennial in Venice 5 hours by boat from the base in Casale sul Sile. The International Art Exhibition takes place from early June to the end of November each year in the Giardini and Arsenale, but also other places you can experience exhibitions in the city. Besides the central pavilion, which was built in 1895 and expanded and renovated several times over the years, there are 29 national pavilions, raised by the participating countries in the park area since 1907 (including the Danish pavilion). These pavilions represent a fine anthology of 20th century architecture including great artists like Aalto Hoffmann Rietved, Scarpa and Stirling.
