2 Introduction of the Museum Cappadocia a unique place in historical and cultural terms in Central Anatolia known as land of fairy chimneys.

3 Cappadocia Art&History Museum: A Private Costume Dolls Museum in old Greek village of Mustafapaşa (Sinasos)

4 Founded by the initiative of a woman artist, Ms. Radiye Gül. The first doll museum in Turkey. Founded in a 176 years old historical old Greek house Built in 1860 Restoration: Opening: 2005

5 What are sources of Income of the Museum? The Museum is founded by a private initiative. It does not receive any financial support from the State. Few rooms of historical Museum building serves as a boutique hotel to support the Museum. Museum with Boutique Hotel concept attracts people s attention.

6 Characteristics of the Museum? The Museum is composed of: 1. Doll Museum: It includes some 3000 hand made costume dolls reflecting historical and cultural personalities, stories, tales from Turkey as well as dolls from World countries.

7 Characteristics of the Museum? 2. Ethnography Museum: Items represents traditional life in the village, everyday life styles. 3. Kitchen Museum: Tools used in traditional village.

17 Marketing Strategies Museum is neither supported by the State nor private sponsorship. It is sustained by its own resources and income obtained by museum visitors. To support the Museum financially, some part of the museum building is used as a boutique hotel.

18 Marketing Strategies Marketing through Museum visitors Local and foreign visitors -Face to face communication with visitors. -Personal guidance in the Museum. -Positive feedback by dedicated guests who advises the Museum to their social circles (family members, friends, etc.) -Loyality of museum guests who visit the museum whenever they visit Cappadocia.

19 Marketing Strategies Marketing through Museum visitors Visitors come to the Museum through: -School tours -Workshops (art courses, doll making courses for interested people, students) -Art events,exhibitions

20 Marketing Strategies Marketing through media, social media Facebook page of Museum is used as daily newspaper with regualr news and updates about the museum, art events. Followers: nearly 1000 active users, mainly artists, musicians, academics, culture and art operators, museum visitors and hotel guests.
