The residents will have approximately 180-degree panoramic views from the large living room windows.

With fishing and other boat-life opportunities in mind, everyone will be offered their own mooring space at the

5 Holiday residences with scenic views, mooring rights and saunas! Idyllic Visnes is located on the northwestern side of Karmøy. Here, in a natural balmy bay, we are building 26 holiday residences. All will be placed so as to enjoy scenic views. The residents will have approximately 180-degree panoramic views from the large living room windows. This area is renowned for its beautiful scenery and for offering excellent fishing both from land and at sea. With fishing and other boat-life opportunities in mind, everyone will be offered their own mooring space at the pier facility below the holiday residences. On the other side of the bay, an excellent sandy beach will delight both younger and older bathing enthusiasts! Living here should be as comfortable and easy as being at home, and the holiday residences will be fully furnished with plenty of bed space. You can look forward to many wonderful days!

On the first floor there is a smart and spacious living room/kitchen solution. The balcony is accessed from the living room and on the opposite side there is a terrace accessed from the kitchen!

The bedrooms are on the ground floor, and also here you can choose between one or two bedrooms, alternatively an extra living room with a door to a terrace. The bathroom, storeroom and hall are also on the ground floor.

C2-85 m 2 The C2 design features the entrance on the ground floor. Also here you can have one or two bedrooms or alternatively an extra living room with a door to a terrace.

This design also offers extra sleeping space in the smart alcove as well as a semiopen loft. D2-80,5 m 2 Also this design has the entrance on the ground floor. From here you access the kitchen which has a door to a terrace. Here there is also a toilet, as well as a light and spacious living room with access to a balcony and a staircase up to the first floor. This floor features a bathroom, hall as well as a bedroom and a sleeping alcove, both of approx. 15 square metres! The main bedroom has its own terrace.

The copper from Karmøy was of prime quality, a fact emphatically proved when, in the early 1900s, France chose copper from Karmøy when building the Statue of Liberty as a gift to the United States.

Close to where the royal estate was once located stands one of Norway s oldest churches, proudly facing the wind, sea and moors.

8 The smelting house Close to nature, close to Norwegian history Visnes and the surrounding area has ties to both recent and ancient history. For more than a hundred years copper ore was mined here, and up until the 1970s many tons of ore were refined by the then Vigsnes Copper Works. The copper from Karmøy was of prime quality, a fact emphatically proved when, in the early 1900s, France chose copper from Karmøy when building the Statue of Liberty as a gift to the United States. Not far from Visnes is Avaldsnes, the site of one of the royal estates of the famed Harald Hårfagre himself. The legend has it that Norway s first king was buried somewhere around here. Close to where the royal estate was once located stands one of Norway s oldest churches, proudly facing the wind, sea and moors. It is estimated that the construction of this gorgeous stone church began in the second half of the 13th century, and that it was completed in The Copper Works is now history, but the memories live on. The first general manager of the Works came up with the idea for Fransahagen, an idyllic park with hiking and horseback riding trails. It was built so that the Southern European mine workers and engineers would be comfortable here on Karmøy. Fransahagen is still a sight to see, and a place you immediately fall in love with. Today the Norvegen (North Road) History Center, which opened near the church in 2005, is the place to visit to explore this exciting part of Karmøy s and Norway s history.

9 Statue in memory of the Copper Works Have a look at the old mine In the Krambue (Traditional Grocer s) you can buy homemade sweets. In the administration building, you can enjoy the Rallar (Railroad Worker) Soup and Bergmann (Mountain Man) Soup Discover the popular playground mine in Fransahagen! The copper used for Statue of Liberty in New York comes from Visnes.

The island shelters the mainland from the outside ocean, and it is well known that there can be a lot of weather here on Karmøy. In terms of historical interest, Karmøy is an extremely exciting area, perhaps unsurpassed in all of Norway. With roots reaching back to Norway s formation as a unified realm, there can be no doubt that the island has a central place in Norwegian culture and history. In the summer, there is a Mediterranean mood to the beaches of Karmøy as they lay stretched out, long and lovely, their white sand smiling at the sea. Today, Karmøy is known for more than its history. Its islanders, towns, industry, agriculture, fishing, the living coastal culture and the fertility of the Western Norwegian landscape are only some of the reasons why it is easy to fall for the idea of living on this island, where kings once knew and reigned over each blade of grass. The plans for the future show that Karmøy is an excellent choice. From Visnes Panorama there is only a brief fifteen minute journey to Haugesund and even less to the airport. A new three-way road is under development, which will result in significantly shorter travel times to Tysvær, Arsvågen ferry quay on Bokn and on to Stavanger.
