1 GALATINA MAGLIE AND TERRE D OTRANTO ROTARY CLUB Puglia - ITALY Camp Programme 2017/ th June th July 2018 DON T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY IT S A PITY The Camp will have a duration of 12 days, from 27 th June to 9 th July. The youngsters will be hosted by families and also in a holiday village owned by a Club member. They will have the possibility to visit one of the most beautiful areas of Italy, the SALENTO, an excellent tourist destination. Places are still available, preferably for boys, to complete the group. The age of the youngsters must be between 18 and 20 The cost of the holiday is 500,00 (bank charges to be borne by the payee) Send the APPLICATION FORM, by , by 10 th June 2018, The young visitors will be hosted by Rotarian families who are always in contact with each other. The youngsters will spend 5 days with their host families and a further 7 days in a seaside resort at a residence owned by a club member. The family of a club member will stay at the residence with them, in order to help with any necessities or problems. From 27 th June to 2 nd July each day includes a visit to a town in the Salento area in the morning, lunch, relaxation and fun on the beach in the afternoon, and dinner. All journeys will made be by tourist minibus, with a driver and English-speaking guide. Members of the host families will take turns in accompanying the youngsters on the planned trips 27th June Arrival at Brindisi airport Every youngster will be met by their host family. Return to Galatina by car Settling in. Welcome dinner with all the young visitors and the families

3 Return -Departure for the beach (beach establishment to be chosen according to the weather) - Lunch 30th June 9.00 Meeting and departure for GALATONE Historic centre: -Marchesale Palace -Museum of Leonardo s Machines -Church of the Holy Crucifix -palaces and historical streets Meeting with the Mayor Departure for NARDO - palaces and streets of the historic centre - the Castle - the Church of Saint Joseph - Salandra Square - the Cathedral - the Convent of the Domenicans Departure for the beach (beach establishment to be chosen according to the weather) -Lunch

4 1st July 9.00 Meeting and departure for CASTRO Visit to the historic centre: -the Castle -Episcopal Palace - The Walls - Zinzulusa Grotto Swim and fun time at the beach establishment of club member Antonio Coluccia - Lunch Return and dinner 2nd July 9.00 Meeting and departure for OTRANTO: - the Castle - the Cathedral - the historic centre Tour of the coast until GROTTA VERDE (the Green Grotto) -Swim and exploration of the grotto Lunch at the Grotta Verde Restaurant Tour of the Adriatic coast: Ciolo Bridge to S.Maria di Leuca -Arrival at the Messapia Residence -Welcome given by club member and residence owner, Gino Cozza -Settling-in time -Dinner

5 From 3rd July To 8 th July -Mornings on the beach or at the pool -Boat trips -SPORTS -Possibility of trips to the surrounding area -Organised entertainment within the holiday village -Meals in the restaurant of the Residence 8th July Farewell Dinner at the home of Piero Villani, a group member, with the participation of the District Governor, Doctor Donato Donnoli 9th July Departure for the airport according to flight times This programme may undergo changes due to organizational or climatic factors.
