3 Faculty of Orthodox Theology City of youth In the frames of the University of East Sarajevo there are two faculties in Foča: - Medical Faculty (departments: Defectology, Patient care, Medicine and Dentistry) with a total of 1137 students - Faculty of Orthodox Theology 459 students Medical Faculty

4 Touristic potentials of municipality Foča Foča has important preconditions for development of tourism: Natural potentials: NP Sutjeska with mountains and rain-forests: Maglić (highest peak in B&H), Zelengora (with 8 glacial lakes) and rain-forest Perućica (best preserved in Europe), Rivers: Tara (deepest canyon in Europe), Drina and Ćehotina, Sand pyramids (geomorphological rarity in this region) Rich cultural-historical heritage: Clock tower Many prehistoric drawings

5 National park Sutjeska NP Sutjeska is the most diverse ecosystem in B&H and one of the most diverse in Europe. It covers: watershed of Sutjeska river with the strict natural rain-forest reservation Perućica, parts of mountain Maglić (2386 m-highest peak in B&H), Volujak, Vučevo and Zelengora. In NP Sutjeska there are many older and newer historical monuments, the most famous of which is the monumental Battle on Sutjeska by Miodrag Živković OK Fest international event. 6 River Tara canyon River Tara is one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe with an 80 km long canyon, which is the second deepest in the world (after Colorado) and the deepest in Europe. Rafting on Tara is a recognizable tourist brand of the municipality of Foča. Rafting clubs offer accommodation and catering in several camps. The largest is Camp Bastasi located on the right bank of the river Drine, 15 km upstream from Foča, with 7 separate camps. Total accommodation capacity of camps in all locations: 1200 beds

7 Sand pyramids The sand pyramids are located on the ninth kilometer of the old road Foča - Miljevina Sarajevo (on the right side of the road) in Daničići. They are a true masterpiece of nature!
