1 Fugro Survey BV Veurse Achterweg 10, 2264 SG, Leidschendam, The Netherlands, NOTICE OF MARINE OPERATIONS Notice is hereby given that Fugro will be conducting a geophysical survey as detailed below. Fugro Survey B.V in conjunction with Fugro EMU Ltd Ltd and Fugro Engineers B.V. will be surveying the area surrounding Thanet Offshore Wind Farm (TOWF) and export cable route in relation to a potential extension to TOWF. The survey area is located off the Kent coast in the south east of the United Kingdom, this work will commence early July The project will last until mid November Survey Area Figures 1.1 till 1.3 below show the extents of the survey area and co-ordinates in which the vessel will be operating are provided. 4 1.2 Vessels For the benthic environmental work, Fugro used the MV Norfolk Swift (call sign: 2DHD7) owned by Enviro-Serve. The MV Norfolk Swift is a purpose built for nearshore survey operations chartered by Fugro. The MV Norfolk Swift will be conducting a benthic / environmental survey at stationary positions or with towed equipment up to 20 m behind the vessel. The vessel will be operating on a 12 hour basis and will require other vessels to maintain a wide berth of at least 200 m. 5 Victor Hensen (WORK COMPLETED) For the benthic environmental work, Fugro used the Victor Hensen (call sign: 9HYZ7) owned by Hempel Shipping. The Valkyrie is a purpose built hydrographic and geophysical nearshore survey vessel operated by Fugro. The Victor Hensen will be conducting a benthic / environmental survey at stationary positions or with towed equipment up to 20 m behind the vessel. The vessel will be operating on a 24 hour basis and will require other vessels to maintain a wide berth of at least 200 m. Fugro Pioneer (WORK COMPLETED) MV Fugro Pioneer (call sign C6BH3), a 53 m purpose build survey vessel delivered in The Pioneer will be conducting a geophysical survey with towed equipment up to 200 m behind the vessel. The vessel will be operating on a 24 hour basis. Throughout survey operations, the vessel will be displaying the appropriate lights and shapes as required under the COLREGS Rule 27 (b) and will require other vessels to maintain a wide berth of at least 200 m. RV Discovery (WORK COMPLETED) The RV Discovery (Call Sign: 2AEL8) is owned by Fugro since 2006 and converted to a bespoke survey vessel. The vessel is a twin screw, 24 m monohull with accommodation for 12 people. The RV Discovery will be conducting a geophysical survey with towed equipment up to 200 m behind the vessel. The vessel will be operating on a 24 hour basis and will require other vessels to maintain a wide berth of at least 200 m. Valkyrie (WORK COMPLETED) For the nearshore work, Fugro proposes the use of the Valkyrie (call sign: 2BWA9) owned by Fugro. The Valkyrie is a brand new, purpose built hydrographic and geophysical nearshore survey vessel, commissioned, owned and operated by Fugro. The Valkyrie will be conducting a geophysical survey with towed equipment up to 200 m behind the vessel. The vessel will be operating on a 12 hour basis and will require other vessels to maintain a wide berth of at least 200 m. Bucentaur (WORK COMPLETED) The Bucentaur (call sign C6SU4), a 78m purpose built, class II DP geotechnical drilling vessels. Originally built in 1983 the 'Bucentaur' has recently undergone a series of extensive upgrades focussed on improving the safety and efficiency of operations. As the vessel will not be maneuverable during the seabed operations it requires a clearance of 500m minimum from other vessels in the vicinity. Notice To Mariners / FSBV / GE051 / Rev 9 / Page 5

6 The vessel can be contacted at below details or VHF Ch Purpose of survey The purpose of the geophysical survey is to provide adequate quality and quantity of geophysical data to inform the existing ground model for the site and export cable corridor. The geophysical investigation needs to provide detailed information in the area which will serve as a basis to inform thesite selection process and to enable preliminary foundation design.
