It s an all-inclusive travel service provided to the residents, friends and family of Trilogy Health Services. Think of us as your convenient on-hand travel agents! We will offer a variety of trips with all of the travel details arranged for you! We will also bring Trilogy team members on each trip to provide the care, medications and services you receive in the campus. And that s not all of the perks! Our Travel Club also provides an opportunity to meet new friends from our sister campuses, and the cost of your trip will be added to your monthly statement to further simplify the process for you. 3 TRILOGY TRAVEL CLUB FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS MAY Photo courtesy of arkencounter.com WHAT IS THE PRICE FOR EACH TRIP? WHAT IS INCLUDED? Each trip varies in price depending on the travel mode, overnight hotel accommodations, and excursions that may be involved. Tips, travel and your care are included in the price, along with the peace of mind that Trilogy team members will provide by travelling with you and taking care of all the details! Meals are included in the overall cost of each trip. *Special rates will be available for family members and Independent Living residents. Trip insurance is encouraged. See the trip flyers for more details. HOW WILL I BE CHARGED? You will be invoiced 50% of the trip charge, which is non-refundable. This will be added to your invoice 2 months prior to the trip for bus trips. Cruise trips will be invoiced at 100% of cruise cost 6 months prior to the trip, with airfare being invoiced 2 months prior. DO YOU OFFER SPECIAL ROOMING OPTIONS OR OTHER PERKS? You may request a private room for an additional fee. You may also have the option to upgrade your room to add a view or a balcony. Spa treatments and other luxury add-ons may also be available! If you do not have a roommate, we do our best to pair you with someone with like interests. It is also possible that a caregiver will be your roommate. HOW MANY PEOPLE DO YOU NEED FOR EACH TRIP? We will need a minimum of 30 people/participants per trip, so please take a look at the trips in this catalog and share your interest by completing the Travel Club Interest Form and giving it to a campus Life Enrichment team member. If you really want to make sure a particular trip happens, recruit a travel companion by telling your friends and family about all of the fun we plan on having during our Trilogy Travel Club adventures! 1 THE ARK ENCOUNTER & CREATION MUSEUM 3 DAYS MAY 1ST - MAY 3RD Tuesday, May 1st Depart your group s location in a spacious, video and restroom equipped motorcoach as you head for your destination: The Ark Encounter & Creation Museum! Start your journey with a visit to the famous Newport Aquarium: 70 exhibits, 14 galleries, and five seamless tunnels totaling over 200 feet in length. Sharks (including a Shark Bridge), penguins, alligators and Canyon Falls are just part of what you will experience here. Then in the evening, enjoy dinner before settling into your Cincinnati area hotel for a two night stay. Wednesday, May 2nd Start the day with a continental breakfast before the big event you ve been waiting for: The Ark Encounter! Bigger than imagination, this life-sized Noah s Ark Experience will amaze you. The Ark Encounter features a full-size Noah s Ark, built according to the dimensions given in the Bible. Spanning 510 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 51 feet high, this modern engineering marvel amazes visitors young and old. From the moment you turn the corner and the towering Ark comes into view, to the friendly animals in the zoo, or the jawdropping exhibits inside the Ark, you ll experience the pages of the Bible like never before. Tonight, enjoy a dinner party with entertainment! Thursday, May 3rd Head to The Ark Encounter s sister attraction: The Creation Museum. Prepare to believe as you explore 75,000 square feet of state-of-the-art exhibits, full-size Allosaurus skeleton, stunning botanical gardens, petting zoo, and more. The state-of-the-art Creation Museum allows you to venture through biblical history. Then, you will depart for home. It s a perfect time to chat with your friends about all the fun things you ve done, the great sights you ve seen, and where your next group trip will take you! 2

AUGUSTINE & JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA 7 DAYS JUNE 3 RD - JUNE 9 TH Sunday, June 3 rd Board your spacious motorcoach and set off for the sunshine of Jacksonville, Florida! Tonight, check into an en route hotel for a good night s rest. Monday, June 4 th After enjoying a continental breakfast, you ll depart for sunny Florida. Enjoy a leisurely dinner at a local restaurant and check into your Jacksonville area hotel for a four-night stay. Tuesday, June 5 th Today, visit the Kingsley Plantation, where you ll stop to see the lovely grounds and learn about its historic past and ongoing restoration. Then head to Amelia Island, southernmost of the Atlantic coast barrier islands that stretch from North Carolina to Florida. After taking a Guided Tour of this beautiful island, you ll visit the historical district Fernandina Beach and have an opportunity to stroll along this stunning beach. Tonight, you ll relax and enjoy dinner at a local area restaurant. Thursday, June 7 th Start the day off with a wonderful breakfast and then head out for a guided tour of Jacksonville, Florida. Then, experience a narrated cruise on the St. John s River. In the evening, you and your fellow travelers will enjoy dinner at a local area restaurant. Friday, June 8 th Head for the Ocmulgee National Monument Visitor Center in Macon, Georgia where you can enjoy 17,000 years of human history! Four prehistoric cultures occupied this land for thousands of years before the arrival of European settlers. Ocmulgee is also the ancestral homeland of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation who now resides in Oklahoma. After a trip through the past, enjoy a night at your en route hotel. Saturday, June 9 th Today you will depart for home. Sit back and enjoy the ride! Wednesday, June 6 th Take a guided tour of charming St. Augustine. Have lunch on your own and browse the shoppes on historic St. George Street. Then, visit the famous Fountain of Youth. In the evening, enjoy a dinner party with entertainment. Monday, July 16 th Depart your group s location in a wonderful motorcoach as you head for your destination: captivating, awe-inspiring Niagara Falls! This evening, you will have dinner and check into your Niagara Falls area hotel for a four night stay. Tuesday, July 17 th Start the day with a continental breakfast before you begin a guided tour of the Niagara Falls area. Visit an engineering marvel, the Welland Shipping Canal and beautiful Queen Victoria Park home of one of the world s largest Floral Clocks. You ll have dinner this evening at a local restaurant. Wednesday, July 18 th Take a guided tour of the beautiful cosmopolitan city of Toronto, Ontario. You will also visit Toronto s majestic castle estate Casa Loma! Later, you will dine at a local restaurant. Thursday, July 19 th After breakfast, enjoy one of Niagara s most popular and breath-taking attractions, a boat ride on a Hornblower Niagara Cruise. Sail near the base of the Horseshoe Falls and enjoy a truly awe-inspiring view of the mighty Niagara. Then, you ll take a tour of historical Niagara-on-the-Lake, one of the prettiest towns in Canada and full of 19th century charm. Later, enjoy dinner and a visit to the exciting Fallsview Casino and get in some gaming action before returning to your hotel. Friday, July 20 th Enjoy breakfast before departing for home. Monday, August 20 th Board your motorcoach and set off for Northern Michigan. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way before checking into your en route hotel. Tuesday, August 21 th Head for Sault Sainte Marie, MI and take an exciting cruise through the Soo Locks. Next, enjoy lunch and spend some free time in Sault Sainte Marie. Watch ships travel through the Locks from the observation area or browse the unique local shops and boutiques. Later, enjoy dinner and gaming at the Kewadin Sault Casino before returning to your hotel. Wednesday, August 22 nd Today your adventure begins with a ferryboat ride to peaceful Mackinac Island where the only mode of transportation is by horse and carriage. Take a leisurely carriage tour of the island and see splendid sites like the Arch Rock and Lilac Lane. Take time to sightsee on your own, then cross the Straits of Mackinac to enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Thursday, August 23 rd Take a guided tour of quaint Mackinaw City. Tonight, check into an en route hotel for a good night s rest. Tuesday, September 11 th After a continental breakfast you will continue on towards your destination. Today, you will arrive in exciting Lancaster, PA. Before checking into your Lancaster area hotel, you will enjoy a visit to Sight and Sound Theatres to see the brand new show Jesus. The greatest rescue story of all time! Jesus is the action-packed musical stage adventure that takes you on a miraculous journey alongside the most famous person to ever walk the earth, and the everyday people whose lives he changed forever. Tonight enjoy dinner and check into your hotel for a 3 night stay. Wednesday, September 12 th / Morning Today you will go to The Amish Experience attraction. The Amish Country Homestead is a reflection of their commitment to accurately and sensitively portray the Old Order Amish as they live and work in today s world. The Homestead is the home of the fictional Amish family of Daniel and Lizzie Fisher, whom you have gotten to know in the Amish Experience Theater s Jacob s Choice. Inside the Homestead, learn of Amish traditions and practices, plain clothing and life without electricity. The Fisher One-Room School is attached to the house and filled with authentic desks and furnishings from an actual Amish school. You ll learn the tradition of teaching eight grades in one room. From the pantry stocked full of freshly canned vegetables to the family s plain clothes - from propane-powered lamps to air-compressor driven appliances - the Fisher Family Homestead truly provides insights into the complex riddles of a culture so very different from our own. Wednesday, September 12 th / Evening After free time at Rockvale Square Outlets, you will head to Lancaster s famous American Music Theatre for Songs of the Silver Screen. Movie buffs of all ages will delight in this new, original production. Enjoy live performances from the AMT cast and band as they bring you the biggest hits from movies past and present. You won t want to miss the toe-tapping medley of movie songs spanning decades of film making. Join as they recognize cinematic songs made famous by icons such as: Elvis Presley, Julie Andrews, Bette Midler, Rosemary Clooney, Barbra Streisand, John Williams and plenty more. Hear the motion picture hits My Heart Will Go On, I Will Always Love You, True Love, and Saturday Night Fever plus dozens more timeless classics. Grab your tub of popcorn and get ready for a harmonious, cinematic show! Thursday, September 13 th You re heading to Philadelphia! Upon arrival you will go on a guided tour of the city. During your tour, some of the highlights you will see include: Independence Hall, Betsy Ross House, The Mint, The Federal Reserve, The Holocaust Memorial, Logan Circle, Penn s Landing and The Rocky Steps. After your guided tour of Philadelphia, you will have free time in the historic district where you will be able to visit the Liberty Bell and the Independence Visitor Center. Later, you will have dinner before returning to your hotel for the evening. Friday, September 14 th Today you will enjoy a guided tour of Lancaster, including Amish Country. Next, you ll visit the Kitchen Kettle Village a charming marketplace of shops and restaurants. Later, you ll check into your en route hotel. Then continue on to dinner and your hotel. Thursday, October 11 th Take a guided tour of the Maine coastal villages of Kennebunk and Kennebunkport.
