We begin in Charlottetown this morning with pick up in Borden, Aulac, Salisbury, Lincoln, and Woodstock along the way. Transfers are available from Halifax, Dartmouth, Truro, and Saint John. We will stop for lunch (not included) at the Acorn Restaurant in Lake George, NB. Arrive at our host hotel this evening, the Hampton Inn & Suites Portsmouth Central in Portsmouth, NH. Enjoy snacks and refreshments at a welcome reception provided by the hotel. The complimentary hotel shuttle can provide transportation to nearby shopping and restaurants. Your Tour Director will help pass the time with games and entertainment. Arrive at our host hotel this evening, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Carlisle Harrisburg in Carlisle, PA. This evening you are free to explore the area and have dinner at a local restaurant or relax in the hotel. Overnight: Holiday Inn Express & Suites Carlisle Harrisburg Thursday, May 23 rd Day 3 Cincinnati, OH and travel to Cincinnati, OH. Stops will be made for rest breaks and lunch along the way. Enjoy the scenery and onboard entertainment as we travel. Arrive at our host hotel, the Drury Inn & Suites Cincinnati Sharonville in Cincinnati, OH. Enjoy snacks and refreshments at a welcome reception provided by the hotel. This evening is at your leisure to have dinner or relax at the hotel. Overnight: Drury Inn & Suites Cincinnati Sharonville Friday, May 24 th Day 4 Nashville, TN and begin making our way to Nashville, TN. Along the way we will make a stop in Louisville, KY. Here we will visit The Kentucky Derby Museum and experience the most dynamic and unique celebration known worldwide as the "Greatest Two Minutes in Sports ". While here we will also enjoy an historic walking tour of Churchill Downs Racetrack. After lunch (not included) we will depart Louisville for Nashville. Arrive at our host hotel, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Nashville-Opryland late this afternoon. Enjoy free time to explore the area and get ready for tonight s show. This evening we will attend The Show That Made Country Music Famous, The Grand Ole Opry. What began as a simple radio broadcast in 1925 is today a live entertainment phenomenon. Dedicated to honoring country music s rich history and dynamic present, the Grand Ole Opry showcases a mix of country legends and the contemporary chart-toppers who have followed in their footsteps. 3 Saturday, May 25 th Day 5 Nashville, TN Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet with your Tour Director. This morning we will make our way back to the Grand Ole Opry for a backstage tour. Your knowledgeable guide will share stories about the Opry and country music greats, past and present, show you photos from the Opry s biggest moments in history, and take you to the artist entrance where legends, new artists, and superstars alike walk into the Opry House on the night of an Opry show. After lunch (not included) we depart for downtown Nashville where we will be met by a local Step-On Guide for a sightseeing tour of the city. Nashville is the home of country music, the Athens of the South, and features landmarks such as the Ryman Auditorium, the Parthenon, State Capital of Tennessee, and Bicentennial Park. Following the tour we will have free time to explore downtown Nashville. Check out the many restaurants and honky-tonks on lower Broadway such as Legends Corner, Tootsies Orchid Lounge, The Stage, and The Second Fiddle. You may also wish to visit the Johnny Cash Museum, George Jones Museum or the many downtown shops. After breakfast we will head back to downtown Nashville. This morning we begin on Nashville s famed Music Row with a tour of Historic RCA Studio B, Nashville s oldest remaining recording studio where over 35,000 songs were recorded here by artists such as Dolly Parton, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, and even more recently, Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood. Following the guided tour, groups will gather around the legendary microphone for a recording session with a professional sound engineer. Next we will visit the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum. As the world s largest music museum, the Country Music Hall of Fame gives country music fans the ultimate experience, displaying everything from rhinestone costumes to tear-stained lyric sheets. This afternoon we will enjoy an included lunch and line dancing at Wildhorse Saloon. Following lunch and dancing we will have free time to continue exploring downtown Nashville. 4 Monday, May 27 th Day 7 Pigeon Forge, TN and make our way to Fontanel Mansion, a magnificent 33,000-square foot log home. The mansion, once the home of country music megastar Barbara Mandrell, boasts over 20 rooms, 13 bathrooms, 5 fireplaces, 2 kitchens, an indoor pool, and even an indoor shooting range. After our visit we will make our way to Pigeon Forge, TN. This evening we will arrive at our host hotel, the Hampton Inn & Suites Pigeon Forge on the Parkway. The remainder of the evening is at your leisure. Overnight: Hampton Inn & Suites Pigeon Forge on the Parkway Tuesday, May 28 th Day 8 Pigeon Forge, TN Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet with your Tour Director. This morning we will be joined by a Local Step-On Guide for a tour of Great Smoky Mountain National Park, American's most visited National Park. Our local guide will take us to the top of the mountains and back with an array of history, stories, and legend about the area and the people that inhabited it before the park was formed. Along the way you will see spectacular scenery and maybe even some wildlife! This afternoon we will have free time to explore Gatlinburg, TN to explore what this fascinating city has to offer. This evening we will experience the Hatfield & McCoy dinner show. Become part of the longest running feud in history and help the Hatfields and McCoys try to settle their differences mountain-style. Whether you re city-folk or country cousins, you ll love the singing and dancing, mighty feats of strength, jaw dropping stunts and side-splitting comedy. 5 Thursday, May 30 th Day 10 Lancaster, PA Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet with your Tour Director. This morning we will check out of the hotel and travel to Lancaster, PA. This afternoon you will be transported to a simpler time that still exists in 21st century Amish Country. We will stop at the Kitchen Kettle Village which showcases what Lancaster has to offer. Here you will find over 40 distinct merchants offering locally made goods such as art, pottery, quilts, baked goods, jams, and relishes. Later this afternoon we will check in to our host hotel, the Tru by Hilton in Lancaster, PA. This evening we will travel a short distance to Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant & Smorgasbord for an included group dinner. Return to the hotel following dinner for free time to relax or do some shopping at the nearby Rockvale Outlets. 7 Important Notes: Mobility Requirements This tour will require moderate amounts of walking and a slightly active pace. This tour is suitable for individuals who can manage walking and standing for short to moderate lengths of time. Certain aspects of the tour may be difficult for individuals with mobility impairments. Tour Director and Driver Your Tour Director and Driver play an important role in making your vacation as memorable and hassle-free as possible. While optional, gratuities are a great way to show your appreciation. The suggested industry guideline is $3.00 to $6.00 per person, per day for your Tour Director and also your Driver. This should be extended on a voluntary and individual basis at the completion of the tour. Travel Insurance Your tour price does not include travel insurance.
