2 THE ITINERARY Day 1 Australia to Lisbon, Portugal Today depart from either Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth for Lisbon, Portugal. Fly with Full Service Airlines such as Emirates, Singapore Airlines, Etihad Airways or Cathay Pacific to name a few (subject to availability). Meals included: In-Flight Day 2 Welcome to Lisbon Upon arrival into Lisbon be met and transferred to the hotel. Overnight: Hotel Central Park, Lisbon Meals included: None Day 3 Lisbon - Begin 9 Night MSC West Mediterranean Cruise After breakfast and check-out you can leave your bags at the hotel and enjoy some time at leisure to discover the marvels of Lisbon. Wander through the maze-like streets to reach the main attractions: see Lisbon s Cathedral and Casa dos Bicos, the old city s pastel-coloured buildings, Tagus Estuary and Ponte 25 de Abril Suspension Bridge. After lunch (not included) you will be transferred to the cruise port where you will board the MSC Preziosa ship, your floating home for the next nine nights. The cruise departs at 4:00pm. Marseille is the third most populated metropolitan area in France, but you wouldn t know it when you step ashore in the quaint Vieux Port. Day 7 Genoa, Italy - 9:00am to 5:00pm Genoa is marvellously eclectic, vibrant, and full of rough-edged style. If you re feeling a little adventurous, why not opt for MSC s optional excursion to Portofino (not included), located just 35km from Genoa a great little day trip. Day 8 At Sea Day 4 At Sea Day 5 Barcelona, Spain - 12:00pm to 7:00pm Known for its art and architecture, Barcelona is a cosmopolitan European city with it all! With so many art galleries, cathedrals, churches and amazing food and wine you ll be overwhelmed with the culture and history of this famous city. Day 9 Malaga, Spain - 10:30am to 5:30pm Malaga is a fashionable, elegant city. The main square hosts a beautiful, monumental fountain - a great place to stop and unwind. There are a number of interesting churches and museums scattered around, as well as a museum dedicated to the work and family of Picasso - who was born in Malaga.

3 THE ITINERARY Day 10 Casablanca, Morocco - 8:00am to 11:00pm Morocco s largest city and commercial capital, Casablanca is the largest port in north west Africa. Casablanca s most recognisable sight is the Mosque Hassan II. This wondrous location can be seen on an optional MSC excursion (not included), or you may choose to go further afield with a full day excursion to Marrakech (not included). If you re after a more centralised area that has the best places to eat, see or explore, head for the public square Place Mohammed V. Day 11 At Sea Day 12 Lisbon, Portugal - Arrive at 8:00am Enjoy your last breakfast on board before docking back into Lisbon. After disembarking you will be transferred to the hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Built over a series of hills facing glistening waters, Lisbon is one of Europe s most attractive cities. The historic centre is relatively compact and easy to explore in just a day. Split between Alfama (the oldest part of the city) and the Bairro Alto or upper town there is many bars, restaurants and cafes to explore. West Mediterranean (Malaga - Barcelona - Marseille - Genoa) Temperatures in October are comfortably warm and the sun is bright. Morocco Morocco is lovely in Autumn (September to October) when temperatures are very pleasant, this means average temperatures of 19 C across the whole of October. TOUR GUIDE VS. TOUR LEADER Tour Guide: Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction in which he or she is guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves the group at the end of the tour, they do not travel with the group. Tour Leader: An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides in each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village, and offer information on the place visited on the bus, however they are not required to have specific knowledge on art, architecture, or history. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and if caught doing so, can be fined. Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when particularly required to enhance the experience of the destination featured. CRUISE Disembarkation usually begins 2 hours after docking.
