3 THE ITINERARY Day 7 Melk / Emmersdorf, Austria 8:30am to 2:00pm In the morning the cruise reaches the UNESCO World Natural Heritage region of the Wachau. The ship will dock in Melk/ Emmersdorf, where you can explore the area at leisure or join an optional excursion to Melk Abbey and Dürnstein (not included). The rest of the day is spent on board, where you will have a wonderful view of the passing winter landscapes as your cruise ship travels towards Passau. Day 8 Passau, Germany 8:30am to 4:00pm This morning while you enjoy breakfast the ship will arrive into Passau, also known as the City of Three Rivers, situated at the confluence of the Danube, Inn and Ilz Rivers. Today is free to spend at leisure, allowing the perfect opportunity to visit the traditional Passau Christmas market. An optional tour (not included) is available in the morning to explore the city on a guided walk. Early this evening the ship will depart this lovely city and head towards Regensburg. Day 9 Regensburg, Germany 9:00am to 9:00pm A full day is spent in festively adorned, historic Regensburg. This magical destination where time seems to stand still is best explored on foot taking in the sites and festivity on display. In the morning, there is an optional guided sightseeing walk (not included). In the afternoon, there is the opportunity to explore on your own or opt to join an excursion to the Christmas market in the royal Thurn and Taxis Castle (not included). Revel in the festive pre-christmas atmosphere filled with the aroma of lebkuchen (gingerbread) and roasted almonds, and stalls filled with local handicrafts. This evening, the captain invites you to join him at an elegant Gala Dinner on board, while the ship continues its journey. Day 10 Roth 1:00pm to 1:30pm, Arrive in Nuremberg, Germany at 5:00pm Enjoy relaxing on-board today as you cruise towards the Bavarian town of Roth and then onwards to Nuremberg. If you would like to take part in the optional tour to Nuremberg the cruise will be stopping in Roth after lunch for passengers to join their tour guide. TOUR LEADER Tour Guide: Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction in which he or she is guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves the group at the end of the tour, they do not travel with the group. Tour Leader: An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides in each stop. A tour

8 IMPORTANT INFORMATION leader may provide general guidance around a city or village, and offer information on the place visited on the bus, however they are not required to have specific knowledge on art, architecture, or history. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and if caught doing so, can be fined. Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when particularly required to enhance the experience of the destination featured. CLIMATE & AVERAGE TEMPERATURES The average daily temperature during late November and early December in this part of Europe sits around 5 C, inching toward the heart of winter.
