2 Motorhome Convoy Touring Motorhome convoy touring is truly a magnificent way to see more of your destination in the company of friendly interesting people. Harvey World Travel Menai has been arranging & escorting convoy tours in North America for the past 8 years & has developed excellent itineraries from Miami to Anchorage. On tour you will have an experienced tour guide to assist you with your touring & navigation. The tours operate in a loose convoy configuration allowing you to travel at your own pace with the knowledge of having assistance close. Tour Options Seattle to Anchorage The Northbound tour in May starts in Seattle & proceeds via Banff, Jasper Dawson Creek, Whitehorse, Fairbanks to Anchorage with the return leg via ship & then inside passage. Anchorage to Seattle The southbound tour operates in reverse sailing to Anchorage by cruise ship & then to Seattle via Fairbanks, Dawson City, Whitehorse & the Canadian Rockies. Travel Insurance is compulsory. Windscreen protection Insurance is optional, this is generally charged at a rate of $10.00 per day. CDW insurance will not cover you for negligent motor vehicle operations. The damage must be due to an accident. It will generally not apply if a stationery object is involved in the collision. Advertised special deals are only applicable to new bookings. Passports: An Australian passport is required with at least six months validity after your return. International Drivers Licence: Not Required. Cancellation Fees Deposits are non refundable. Further payments will be subject to supplier cancellation fees. 3 Tour 1 & 2 Alaskan Highway Tour 1 Alaskan Highway Northbound & Southbound (Escorted) The greatest RV driving adventure in North America nicknamed the Alcan awaits you when you set sail from Dawson Creek in British Columbia or Delta Junction in Alaska. Today, almost all the two-lane highway is surfaced with asphalt. But it s no freeway. There still are stretches where the highway is narrow & curvy, where it lacks centre lines & ample shoulders. Also, watch out for sudden loose-gravel breaks where the pavement has failed or is under repair. Sometimes the gravel gaps are marked with little, red flags; sometimes they aren t. & that asphalt paving can ripple like a roller coaster track in places where frost heaves are caused by seasonal freezing & thawing of the ground. This touring adventure has been in operation for the past 7 years & the itinerary enhanced to a 22 day drive staying at seventeen RV parks. The Harvey World Travel Motorhome Convoy has extended this drive from Seattle to Anchorage in the spring & in reverse in the autumn.
