In this way Fincantieri Offshore puts itself as the tool for the clients to translate their own operative experience into vessels which optimize the Capex/Opex ratio. 3 DESIGNED TO Fincantieri Offshore mission and values find their highest expression in the OVERDRILL. Since the beginning, the efforts of Fincantieri Offshore designers were aimed to design this ship around its specific purpose: the ultradeepwater drilling. The ship was therefore conceived and designed with this concept in mind, resulting in a deep integration between hull and drilling systems. THE NEXT GENERATION ULTRADEEPWATER DRILLSHIP Thanks to the close cooperation with Aker Solutions, the drillship boosts THE MOST ADVANCED DRILLING SYSTEMS AVAILABLE TODAY (12,000 ft WD, 50,000 ft DD). Aker Solutions has provided the most reliable and efficient products to satisfy the oil companies needs for the next decades. The OVERDRILL features an increased variable deck load capacity and free space on the deck, despite reduced overall dimensions: these are the traits that position the OVERDRILL at THE TOP OF ITS CATEGORY IN TERMS OF OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY 1. In aux rig: Same topdrive as in main, but lifting capacity limited to 1,150 sh.t in bails and shaft based on drawworks preset lifting capacity. Materials handling system Deck Cranes The basic configuration is made by the following: 4 x Knuckle boom cranes rated for abt. 80 mt The vessel is designed to support also the following enhanced configuration: 3 x Knuckle boom cranes rated for abt. 100 mt. 1 x Subsea construction knuckle boom crane active heave compensated rated for abt. 165 mt provided with 12,000 ft wire drum. Pipe Handling System 1 x Horizontal feeding machine for handling casing and tubulars from aft pipe deck to well centre, 15 mt. 2 x Column Rackers for vertical tubular handling of Drillpipe, Drillcollars and Casing inside the derrick. Pipe handling knuckle boom crane 1 x Triplex knuckle boom crane for 4,5 mt located onto the aft pipe deck. Riser Handling System Fincantieri and Navalimpianti s patented fully automated Riser Handling System handles the riser joint from the hold to up to the riser feeding machine and vice versa. 1 x Horizontal catwalk for handling riser from fwd riser storage area to the main centre with integrated tall-in arm, 50 m. BOP Handling 1 x BOP Overhead Crane with a total capacity of abt. 650 mt and outfitted with 2 x 35 mt auxiliary hoists. 1 x Moon Pool trolley with a hang off capacity of abt. 1,000 mt. XMAS Handling The XMAS Tree parking area is outfitted with a Cart Skidding system with a loading capacity of 150 mt. 1 x Moon Pool trolley with a capacity of abt. 150 mt. The trolley has a hang off capacity of abt. 400 mt for casing hang off operation. Loading Stations The loading stations are located at port and starboard sides with 8 hose reels each for loading bulk mud, cement, liquid mud, drill water, brine, base oil, marine diesel oil and fresh water. Well control system and Subsea equipment BOP The vessel is designed for storage, handling and service up to two 20K BOPs, 7 RAMS, 600 mt weight each. The vessel is equipped with: one 18 3/4, 15K BOP with 6 RAMs, 2 x annular BOPs. Diverter Diverter assembly CSO model for 75 ½ rotary table, with 2 x diverter lines port and starboard, 1 x well fill up, 1 x trip tank fill. Marine riser 12,000 ft of 21,5 Aker Clip RiserTM risers in 90 ft joints outfitted with 2 x 20K choke and kill lines, 1 booster line and 2 hydraulic lines. Riser tensioners 16 single wire line riser tensioners 285 kips each. Total system capacity of 4,560,000 lb. C&K and Manifold STEP C&K manifold rated for 20,000 psi.
