2 USEFUL INFORMATION Day camp at Parc nature les Forestiers-de-Saint-Lazare is offered to ren age between 5 and 12 years old (age on September 30) Chemin Lotbinière Saint-Lazare QC J7T 3H9 campdejour.ville.saint-lazare.qc.ca lesforestiers.ville.saint-lazare.qc.ca , ext. 287 A CAMP UP TO STANDARDS The camp meets 45 quality and safety standards issued by the Association des camps du Québec for municipal day camps. TEAM AND INSTALLATIONS Over 60 certified DAFA counsellors (Camp Counsellor Skills Diploma) 50 hours of training First aid certified 16 years old + All bilingual Certified National Lifeguards SECURITY Controlled accessd to the park. The parent or authorized person must : sign the attendance sheet; Identify herself/himself, give his/her password, sign the attendance sheet. If you do not sign the attendance sheet upon arrival, the camp staff will not be responsible for the. The site is equipped with surveillance cameras. An infirmary is available onsite. A cycle path is located on the road leading to camp for cyclists. Note : If your is biking to camp, we suggest that you give him/her a lock. We are not responsible for broken or stolen items. 3 THE CAMP Priority to residents until June 10th, First come, fist served; Welcome to non-residents after June 11th at noon; Weekly registrations are available at the applicable rate on registration day (no daily registration); It will be possible to add weeks (possible before 4:30 p.m. on the Wednesday preceeding the desired week) depending on availability. AGE GROUPS: COUNSELLOR TO CHILD RATIO 5 6 yrs old / 1 counsellor for 10 ren 7 8 yrs old / 1 counsellor for 12 ren 9 10 yrs old / 1 counsellor for 13 ren yrs old / 1 counsellor for 15 ren CAMP SCHEDULE 5-day camp from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. From June 26th to August 17th, 2018 Closed on June 25th and July 2nd Daycare from 6:45 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. All groups are going to the pool for an hour everyday. LUNCH Bring your lunch (no microwaves) Nuts and peanuts are STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. DAY CARE Morning from 6:45 a.m to 9 a.m. and afternoon from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.; Single-day day care tickets on sale at the camp reception; Late fees apply : $5 for each period of 10 minutes after 6 p.m.; At 4 p.m., ren that are not registered to day care whose parents are late, will go to day care. 4 ACTIVITIES Climbing Archery Daily swim (heated pool) Scientific et artistic discoveries Activities in nature Mini farm Aerial trail Cooperative games The day camp at Parc nature les Forestiers-de-Saint-Lazare favours nature and environment, games, physical activities as well as arts & crafts. Tons of fun at park! It is essential that ren wear adequate clothing suited for sports. Clothes might come home dirty after a fun and active day at the camp. Our site is very sandy and it is very possible that you bring a small quantity at home, every night. MATERIAL TO BRING DAILY Easy to carry back pack (check that your do not bring inapropriate toys or objects); cold lunch (with icepack) no micorwaves available. at least two (2) snacks and a water bottle; comfortable clothing AHH! bathing suite and towel! safety vest (if necessary) A daily swim sunscreen mosquito-repellent running shoes (no «flip-flops») hat rainy day kit: boots and raincoat *** You must identify material belonging to your.*** Children must not bring toys from home, cell phone, video games, etc.; fashion sandals; valuable items (clothes or accessories). 4 parc nature les Forestiers-de-Saint-Lazare

Validate your registration. COMPANION PROGRAM This program was created to give people with disabilities access to the Saint-Lazare day camp for the summer. The program offers a with disability, the opportunity to participate in the summer camp activities while being under the care of an attendant. Objectives and explanation Allow ren living with disabilities: have a positive integration experience at the day camp; to be physically present and actively involved in the social life, and therefore in the activities and interactions that occur in the group; participate, take responsibility and follow the same rules as all members of the group. The service offered is not a specialized service. It is an integration and inclusion service in the day camp program. The accompanist therefore has for role: to promote integration by adapting the activities and the course of the day according to the abilities and needs of the ; to be a figure of authority for the ; to ensure the safety and the integrity of the throughout his stay at the day camp. 6 RULES 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) 8) 9) The shows respect for everyone (fellow campers, counsellors, coordinators) by using respectful language and behaviour at all times. Swearing, vulgar language, arrogance, insults, offensive remarks and disrespectful language are prohibited at all times. Kicking, hitting, improper touching, disrespectful or violent behaviour are prohibited at all times. In the case of verbal abuse (shouts, threats, insults, mockery, etc.) or physical abuse (shoving, fighting, obscene gestures, etc.), the camp coordinator will contact the parents immediately. Any form of violence is prohibited and will not be tolerated. The respects himself. He wears adequate clothing in order to be comfortable during daily activities. His outfit is clean and appropriate and does not show any sign of violence. Children who do not comply will be given a warning. DISCIPLINARY MEASURES If a does not obey the rules, the following procedures will be followed: 1) The will be given a fist verbal warning by the camp counsellor who witnessed the event. 2) Following a second warning, the camp coordinator will inform the parents who will receive a writen warning. 3) If another warning is necessary, the may receive an external suspension and be excluded from all activities or upcoming outings. 4) If the still does not respect the rules and regulations, he will be permanently dismissed from the day camp without any refund. In the case of violence, running away or escaping, parents will be automatially contacted to pick up their immediately. After two incidents, the will definitely be dismissed and no refund will be possible. These steps are usually taken in chronological order but there may be exceptions. The seriousness of the offense will determine the measures to be taken. Therefore, steps 1, 2 or 3 may be skipped. Cli REFUND POLICY No refund will be possible after June 10th, 2018 except for medical reasons. A dully completed refund request form accompanied of a medical certificate will be requested. Consult by-law 1000 for more information. Administration fees apply. Single day daycare tickets are not refundable. REGISTRATION ADD-ONS It is possible to : Add weeks; Move a pre-paid week to another week. Add-on weeks will be possible if registration is done before 4:30 p.m. on the Wednesday preceeding the desired week and if places are still available. Any add-ons done after June 10th will not have the registration rebate. It is the responsibility of the parent to insure that the registrations dates are valid upon the reception of the registration receipt.
