As a company committed to global well-being and environmentally sound practices we are proud to ensure our awareness and responsibility to the sustainability of our environment. In the printing of this book Häfele NZ have considered environmental impact as one of our priorities. We have printed with Soya based ink and chosen Sumo paper as it is an environmentally responsible paper manufactured under the environmental management system ISO14001 using ECE, (Elemental chlorine free) pulp from a WMF (well managed forest) as opposed to a recycled coated stock that has a high bleaching process. In the latter the carbon footprint is a factor, with emissions and chemistry required for recycling. To eliminate huge amounts of packaging we chose pallet wrapped rather than ream wrapped.
