2 What to Expect Check- In-2000 Westlake Ave North Check-in will start at 8:30am. Please note that camp begins promptly at 9am. Daily itineraries can be found at the check-in table Pick up and Sign Out Beginning at 4:00pm at the same location as check in, children must be signed out before departure. A photo ID is required every day, and only pre-approved adults are allowed to sign children out. Please keep this list up to date. Going to be absent or running late? We understand that traffic can be unpredictable and that unforeseen absences are a reality. In the event of these situations please contact us via our Camp Line at (206) or us at camps@snsswim.com. Optional Before/After Care If 9am-4pm just isn t enough time to hang out with your friends, we offer game and craft time with camp counselors before camp from 8am-830am Tuesday-Friday*, as well as after camp from 4pm-5pm Monday-Friday for an additional fee of $10/hour. *Please note, before care is not available on Monday morning. Digital Forms: 1. The online camper form will help us get to know your child as well as note allergies! Please give as much detail as possible so that we can provide a positive experience for your child. 2. Safe N Sound waivers from DocuSign. Please let us know if you have trouble filling out these forms. 3. YMCA, Seattle SCUBA and REI waivers must be signed and received by check in. Please utilize the loading zones located in front of China Harbor and in front of our check in/out location. To respect the local business, do not block the flow of traffic in the parking lot. Also, please be cautious of high-speed cyclists. Please cross in the crosswalks on the cycle track. Bike racks are available for our cycling families!

3 Snack We are not a peanut/nut free facility. A light snack will be provided daily, in addition to what campers bring with them. Examples of snack are: Annie s bunnies, grapes, yogurt, granola bars Sunscreen Before every outdoor activity, we slather campers in sunscreen. Campers may bring their own but counselors must see them apply sunscreen before the activities. Please only pack lotion sunscreens (no spray sunscreens, please!). If your child s first activity is Free Swim or Lessons please DO NOT apply sunscreen before camp. This will help keep our pool s chemistry in balance. Camp Barbeque Families are invited to our Friday BBQ at West Ewing Mini Park! 244 W Ewing St, Seattle, WA Arrive at 12:45pm to enjoy a hot dog, play some games and witness our camper awards! The ceremony will begin at 1:45pm. Upon your arrival, please check in with a director to receive your bracelet. 2:00pm early check out is available at the park, don t forget your photo ID! 5 Programming and Policies Illness Prevention Mild illnesses are common among children. If your child chooses not to participate in free swim there will be alternative supervised activities on the pool deck. We also ask that all families observe Public Health Regulations, which state that if you have a communicable disease, open wound(s) or have been ill with vomiting or diarrhea in the past two weeks then do not swim. Participants may return into our pool after they have been symptom free for two weeks. Medication During Camp Hours: Safe N Sound does not administer prescription medication at camp. If your child needs prescription medication during camp hours, an authorized adult must come to dispense that medication. Staff will follow heath history form information regarding administering certain over-the-counter medications as needed. Please contact us for more details on this policy. **Please note the following activities are specific to only certain Outdoor Adventure Camp Themes. All program waivers must be completed by check- Free Swim Our campers will have one full hour of free swim where indicated on the schedule. They will change in locker rooms, where there are cubbies to store belongings. All swimmers will rinse before and after swimming. There is a dedicated space in the shallow end (3 feet deep) for swimmers to play or practice. Once your camper passes the deep-end swim check, they are invited to play or practice in the deep-end of the pool. Deep End (8ft) Swim Check All swimmers who wish to swim in the deep end will need to do a SNS swim check. This involves swimming across the length of the shallow end doing the front crawl, then jumping in the deep end, back-floating for ten seconds and front crawling the entire length of the pool. High Ropes Course at Northshore YMCA The Odyssey High Ropes Course is a unique challenge course located at Cottage Lake Park in Woodinville, Washington, in partnership with King County Parks and Recreation. The Odyssey Course is a 40ft tall, two-level course that includes 10 different challenges and obstacles that you must navigate and work together with your group to accomplish. It is accessed by a large cargo net, and finishes with a dual hydraulic zip line to the ground.

6 REI Pinnacle Climb Standing 65 feet tall, the REI Rock Climbing Pinnacle has been an iconic feature of the Seattle landscape since the REI Flagship store s grand opening in Pinnacle climbers are treated to spectacular views of the Seattle skyline as well as peek-a-boo view of the surrounding mountains on a clear day. Paddle Sports Stand up paddle boards and kayaks are a fun way to explore Lake Union! Campers will get plenty of time to become acquainted with maneuvering the water craft before paddling down to MOHAI Beach. Intro to SCUBA Our next door neighbors, Seattle SCUBA, will be teaching their Bubble Makers class. This is an introductory course designed to teach scuba diving in approximately six feet of water. The campers will learn about the use of diving equipment and get to take their first breath underwater! Stewardship Project We will be giving the campers a chance to give back to the community and environment that they ve been utilizing all week. Campers will be encouraged to use the skills that they ve learned to help clean up or improve their natural environment. Canoeing at University of Washington Campers will be treated to a full afternoon of canoeing and exploring on Green Lake! They ll learn about paddling and have a chance to practice other outdoor skills that they ve learned throughout the week. Outdoor Skills This may include activities such as hiking, orienteering, shelter building, and Leave No Trace principles. The goal here is to acquaint campers with techniques to safely and respectfully navigate their outdoor environment.

7 *Please review the following with your child: Electronics Policy Cell phones, tablets, mp3 players and other electronics are unnecessary at camp so please do not bring them! Any electronic devices seen out will immediately be confiscated by camp staff and put in the directors possession until the end of the day. Camp staff will have their phones on them in case of emergency and will be held to the same standard as the campers. Camp Safety Rules Be Respectful- language, space bubbles, treating others, listening, SNS toys and equipment Be Safe- walking, voices, pool rules, lunches/snacks, hands to ourselves, staying with group, buddy system (groups of three). Be Responsible your belongings and cubby, cleaning up camp games, your actions (honesty) Be Kind- words, positive attitude, fair play, invite others to play Field Trip and Water Craft Rules They will be traveling in a motor vehicle driven by an adult and will wear their seatbelts and remain in their seats at all times. They are to wear their life-jackets at all times while on the docks or on the water crafts. They will follow the directions and boating safety procedures provided by the Lifeguards and camp staff at all times. They are expected to respect each other, the vehicles or water craft they ride in, and the people they travel with. Safe N Sound Outdoor Adventure Camps Discipline Policy Safety is our name, and all campers and staff are expected to help create a physically and emotionally safe environment for our programs. First Offence- Given a verbal warning Second Offence- Sitting out of an activity Third Offence- Talk with a director and possible call home. Fourth Offence- Sent home from camp. All campers and staff must feel physically and mentally safe while participating in our programs. Pool Rules:
