EVENTURES ur 3965 Lindstrom Lane Stevens Point, WI June 4, 2013 Public Protection Committee City Clerk's Office 1515 Strongs Ave. Stevens Point, WI RE: SPECIAL REQUESTS FOR STREET CLOSING and CLASS "B" EXTENSIONS Dear Committee Chair; One behalf of the Stevens Point Brewery, we make the following requests: The committee's permission to close Water Sh eet between Matilda Street and Francis Sh eet on Saturday, September 21, 2013 statting at 2:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m. for the 2"d annual "Pointoberfest" taking place in Brewery Park. In addition to the street closing, the Brewery is requesting an extension of their class B beer premise to cover the event on September 21from5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Pointoberfest is a ticketed event for people 21 years of age and older. Ente1tainment, food and beer sampling will take place under a large tent in Brewery Park. The grounds will be fenced to secure access for pah ons. Officers from the Stevens Point Police Department will be contracted for event coverage. We appreciate your time and attention in this matter. 7 Association of Downtown Businesses A Main Street Community PO Box 675, Stevens Point, WI City Clerk John Moe 1515 Strongs Avenue Stevens Point, WI Re: Dozynki Harvest Fest 2013 Dear City Clerk, June 17, 2013 The Association of Downtown Businesses (ADB) will once again be sponsoring the Annual Dozynki Harvest Festival. This year the festival will be held on Saturday, September 21 st from 10am-8pm and Sunday, September 22 nd from 10am-6pm with activities throughout Downtown Stevens Point. We request to put up a tent in the center of the Square on Friday morning. The tent will be removed Monday morning. We would ask that No Parking signage be placed on the center portion of the Square from 6am on Friday until noon on Monday. Additionally on Saturday, we request Main Street from Strongs Avenue to the Square be closed from 6 am to 5 pm for street events. We would ask for no parking on Main Street until after 5 pm. On Saturday, food will be available on the Square from 11am- 7pm accompanied by music. Sunday Morning s Square Activities will feature a Polka Mass, food and music from 10am-6pm. As the nature of the event celebrates the Harvest, we will be working with a way to involve the Farmer s Market Vendors on Friday and Saturday. As in past year, we request that the Farmers Market be moved to the Crosby Parking lot on Friday and Saturday. Conversations with the Farmer s Market Association will take place to assure that all parties benefit from this great downtown event. Heritage of Portage County will be sponsoring both day s entertainment and beverage sales. We have submitted our request for a Special Call B Beer Retail License with the Clerk. Fencing will be set-up around the tent area for beer sales. Our organizations will continue to provide the following to ensure the safety and success of this event: Fencing following the natural outline of the square to serve as the boundary for the event. Portable toilets will be provided and will be removed immediately following the event. The event will end at 8 pm on Saturday and 6pm on Sunday.

In addition, we request the Committee's permission to close Reserve Street between Fourth Ave. and Maria St. from 10:00 a.m. - 1 :00 p.m. This is to accommodate the ending point of the parade as well as allow parade participants and people attending the parade get to the All-Campus Picnic taking place on the DeBot Recreation Field stmting at 11 :00 a.m. - 1 :00 p.m. As in the past, we will work with a representative from the Stevens Point Police Depmtment to assist with the logistics of the parade. 12 June 21, 2013 UWSP Spud Bowl 1901 Fourth Ave. CPS 110E Stevens Point, WI City of Stevens Point John Moe, City Clerk 1515 Strongs Avenue Stevens Point, WI Re: UWSP Spud Run Dear John, In conjunction with the Saturday, September 7, UWSP football game against Rockford College, the Spud Bowl committee is planning an inaugural Spud Run. I am asking that our event be placed on the July 8, Public Protection Committee meeting agenda to allow us to discuss the run, answer questions, and hopefully receive approval to move forward with planning. I have discussed the event with Tony Babl from the Stevens Point Police Department. From our conversation Tony did not have any concerns but would like to be included in all conversations with the City. The 5K run is scheduled to begin at 4:00 pm. It will begin and finish on Goerke track. We have designed a course with traffic, safety, and runner satisfaction in mind. A course map is enclosed for your review. Can you please let me know if you have any questions and also confirm that we ll be on the July 8, Public Protection Committee meeting agenda? Please let this letter serve as our request to utilize the Historic Downtown Square for this growing event, and a Temporary Class B Retailer s License. Fencing will be provided around the interior portion of the Square with four access point to enter the square. The sidewalk surrounding the square will not be inside the event grounds. Please have the square fountain turned off by 2pm on Saturday, August 3 through Sunday morning, August 4. Main Street and Second Street will remain open until 2pm to accommodate the morning customers to the Farmer s Market. Market Vendors have agreed to vacate the area by 2pm to allow adequate time for the remainder of event set up to be completed. Saturday s activities will run from 4pm-11pm. Event organizers will have staff at every access point checking IDs on Saturday. Also, every tavern owner will have an employee posted at the door with a sign stating no carry-ins or carry-outs.
