Not bad considering our limited hours. This number does not include the numerous inquiries we receive each month. The visitors corne from as far away as California, Florida, Connecticut, and even France! Who knew that Langhorne was so weh known? Many talk about the old Langhorne Speedway. Some people come in just to look around while others come for research. Our volunteers will sometimes spend an hour or two with the latter. Of course many of these people spend time walking around town visiting our shops and eateries. We would like to expand our hours, but we need people willing to give a few hours a month, familiar with the Langhorne area and willing 10 learn about the library's resources. f you are interested, give us a call or drop us an . Our headquarters is located in The Anna Mary Williamson Library & Museum

4 HANDCAPPED-ACCESSBLE ENTRANCE PROJECT UPDATE You may have noticed that the construction work on the rear of our building appears to have been completed this summer. Twining Construction has completed all site work for this project. TJlis project involved constructing a new foundation to reposition our original rear steps. The steps have been turned 90 degrees and moved out a few feet allowing room for a handicapped lift to be installed next to the building. A concrete walk was installed and the driveway was stabilized with pavers from the street to our rear entrance. Twining Construction did an excellent job on this project. The stone work on the new foundation blends in very well with the original stone work on our building. A vintage style black railing has been installed from the steps to the building. The handicapped lift has been ordered. Within the next few weeks it will be delivered and installed. Final permits for this have been applied for from Harrisburg. Once the lift has been installed the final step on this project will be the planting of a few shrubs along the walkway. These projects have been financed in part by a combination of grant funds, a bequest from the Estate of William and Evelyn Parry and other member contributions. Upon completion of this project, we will finally have a handicapped-accessible entrance to our building. ;~ ~ ~ 4 4 t 4 " Jim Maier!}; ;'-'-'-'-'-'-'-'-'-'-'-'-'-'-'-'-'-'-'-'-'-'-'-'1 THANK YOU FOR THE : REDNERSTAPES ing grocery register receipts from Redner's Market i on Route 1 in Langhorne for which we have received i more than $ This money goes to help main-! tain our building and cohections.
