4 1844. Belle Grove was the home of noted diarist Amanda Virginia Edmonds who recorded it all. $8 Adults, $4 Students Since our Last Newsletter: March 2, 2014 Meet the Artist Event with Local Hunt Country Photographer Douglas Lees Blue Ridge Farm More than sixty guests joined local photographer Douglas Lees at lovely Blue Ridge Farm for an artist s open house. We were treated to poignant photographs of our local landscape, foxhunting and equestrian scenes. Douglas captivated the audience with his knowledge of the last five decades of equestrian history and his description of how the photography of that history has evolved. We want to thank our hosts, George Grayson and Maria Tousimis for allowing MHAA to use Blue Ridge Farm as the setting for this wonderful program. We would also like to thank our sponsors: Mr. & Mrs. Childs Burden, Carr and Hyde Insurance, The Fauquier Bank, Joan of Art Custom Framing, Mr. & Mrs. Chiswell Langhorne, Mr. & Mrs. Marc Leepson, the Luminescence Foundation, Mr. H. Turney McKnight and Oak View National Bank. Douglas selected nine of his best photographs for sale by MHAA at this event. They are matted and sell for $95 each. If you are interested in seeing and/or purchasing one of these amazing photographs, contact our office at Douglas Lees and Turney McKnight, photographer Steve decata 4 of 8 11/30/15, 1:11 PM
