Families and groups of friends come from far and wide to spend time together fishing and checking out the rest of the Tasmanian Trout Expo. The Tasmanian Trout Expo is based around a competition where one lucky person could win $10,000. All you have to do is catch a specially tagged wild brown trout. It s not that hard to do... and this prize has been won in the past! The Expo also features exhibitors with fishing gear and other bargains as well as food and drink stalls. But don t let this stop you from packing a family picnic for the day too if you like. Registration for the event opens at 7am daily and the competition kicks off at 8am. Valid Fri/Sat/Sun only, from 1/9/2015 to 30/11/2015. Subject to availability, and excluding special events.

While parents are going to love this eclectic event, there are also jumping castles and other family friendly activities too! There is also a great variety of food stands and a mix of local and national bands playing on the day. Please keep in mind that this crazy cool event also donates every cent of their profit to Camp Quality. Last year s event raised well over $20,000. So make sure you come along in 2015 to help them do it again!
