3 our join us on our adventure the real story AUSTRALIAS LARGEST PRIMARY SCHOOL COMPANY IN ONLY 18 MONTHS... we believe that people with passion can revolutionise education... and this is what we do. in 2017 NSW Business chamber awards As a proud member of the NSW Business Chamber, business partners Jamie and Nathalie from Ranger Jamie Tours were finalists in the START UP SUPERSTAR category. A category that recognises the achievements accomplished by a new business. Thank you to the NSW Business Chamber and to Kerri Anne Kenly for hosting such a beautiful event. Jamie always had to study harder than the average, he was a visual learner who found throughout his schooling that he took away vast amounts of knowledge on practical days rather than conventional learning from text. This sparked his dream to create an educational tour company where s who may not thrive in conventional classroom learning will excel in an outdoor learning environment just as he had as a child. His work as a Ranger paved the way to realise his gifts as an enthusiastic educator who s passion is infectious. Jamie and Nathalie met at UTS studying a Bachelor of Environmental Science/ Marine Biology from both studying part time, with their similar personalities and passion for the environment they quickly became best friends and it was no surprise when they became business partners working flawlessly together and later managing a team of 30 staff after only 18months. Following Graduating with their degrees; Jamie and Nathalie decided to revolutionise the school excursion indus-try, creating school excursion programs for K-6 focusing on Environmental Science, Australian Flora and Fauna, History, Ecosystems and Sustainability to inspire the next generation towards an environmentally aware and sustainable future. THE NATIONAL CENTRE OF INDIGENOUS EXCELLENCE (TRIBAL WARRIOR) Ranger Nat and Ranger Jamie love spending each and every week with the awesome Tribal Warrior Team and the inspiring Shane Phillips CEO of the Tribal Warrior Association and Advocate for Aboriginal Rights and respected member of the Aboriginal Community. It is AMAZING to be involved with the Tribal Warrior program that teaches acceptance, identity and unity. Jamie and Nathalie would like to acknowledge the Traditional owners and custodians of this land. May we all pay our respects to Elders both past and present. 4 feedback our lady of fatima primary school caringbah st patrick s catholic primary school parramatta paddington public school Wow, wow, wow! I am incredibly impressed with your company. From the ease of the booking, to the hands-on and fun excursion, to the little extras that we received afterwards like the movie and photos. It truly was the easiest excursion to organise. Your professionalism, expertise and naturalability with the s is outstanding. I will certainly be recommending you as the go-to person for Geography/History excursions at our school! Thanks again for the terrific experience. Kind regards, Mrs Kiara Izhik Year 6 Class Teacher PRESBYTERIAN LADIES COLLEGE SYDNEY Dear Jamie Thank you for a very well organised and informative excursion. The girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves and commented on how it was one of the best excursions they had been on. From the moment we arrived everything had been prepared. The girls had somewhere dry to sit and leave their belongings. There was morning tea provided for parents and staff. Amenities were nearby. The three activities that the girls rotated through during the day were relevant and covered the topics we had discussed when organising the day. They were fun, descriptive and involved the s. They were organised in such a way that the girls interacted both physically and mentally. The staff were knowledgeable and developed a good rapport with the s. You had specimens to show, dress-ups and your enthusiastic approach ensured they listened. You engaged the s with the information and this was evident from their reflections about the day. This was one of the easiest excursions to organise. You were accommodating with what we wanted to cover for our Stage 2 HSIE unit. All relevant paperwork was ed to us early and this allowed us to prepare for the excursion. We have recommended other classes at PLC Sydney to book excursions through you. A wonderful day! With thanks Year 4 Teachers Dear Jamie and the Ranger Jamie Tours Team, I just wanted to send you this letter to say how amazing our excursion was. From the moment we arrived (96 kids, 6 parent helpers and 3 teachers) we were warmly welcomed by all the Rangers with enthusiasm and excitement. The morning tea was a wonderful treat we all were not expecting and was greatly appreciated by allincluding our bus drivers!!! The excursion had been modified to suit our unit- with a neighbouring countries focus. The Rangers ran a fabulous session on Fiji and the dance was a huge success with fun had by everyone. All the rangers were informative, personable and had excellent management of the large group. Each of the activities that had been organised were educational, fun and ran very smoothly by each of the Rangers. A video and photos were taken throughout the day by the rangers which was a fabulous extra we were not expecting. I look forward to seeing the footage and sharing with the school. The children were thoroughly engaged throughout the day and had the biggest smiles on their faces. I asked a number of s if they enjoyed the day and all responded with an extremely positive response. All the parent helpers commented on how fun the day was also. I work alongside two very experienced teachers on year 3 and they have both returned and said to numerous people it was the best excursion they have been on. The organisation, communication and professionalism shown by Ranger JamieTours made the whole process a breeze. I will be sure to spread the word on Ranger Jamie Tours to our entire school and all my teacher friends!!! Thank you so much and please send my thanks and appreciation to all the rangers. Warm regards, Marnie Cleary Year 3 Dear Rangers, Best excursion I ve been on in 15 years. Year 4 s and teachers would like to sincerely thank you for the amazing and purposeful experience we had at Kamay Botany Bay on Friday the 16th of July. The children had a lot of fun and learnt many interesting facts that they were able to use during our lessons this week when discussing the impact British settlement had on our Indigenous Australians. The activities were interesting, enjoyable and meaningful and both Rangers displayed a high level of knowledge. They were able to inform the s about many interesting facts. They were extremely friendly and approachable and very respectful and compassionate towards the children. They made the day very exciting and fun and we have had a lot of children say that they would love to come back and bring their families. Our parent helpers also commented on the professionalism of both Rangers and their wonderful attitude with the children especially ensuring that all children had a turn at a handson experience or answering questions. I would certainly recommend this excursion to Stage 2 teachers as it linked in perfectly with our First Contacts unit focus and helped the s to consolidate their understanding and make connections. I certainly hope to return in the future. Thank you also for the wonderful photo and movie. The children were ecstatic when they saw the parcel when I opened it. Yours Thankfully Anne Fardell Year 4 6 7
