1 Bussleiðin Tórshavn City Buses English edition 2018 Bussleiðin is the name of the city bus system that operates in the Municipality of Tórshavn (Tórshavnar Kommuna). All services are free of charge. For intercity buses to the Airport, Klaksvík and other towns, check Services 100, 300 and 400 can be useful for transport in Tórshavn and Kollafjørður during evenings and weekends when Bussleiðin does not operate. Service 101 can also be used for travel to Norðasta Horn, but not to Velbastaður and Kirkjubøur. Klaksvík offers a free-of-charge bus system carrying the name Bussleiðin as well. Check Design by R. 8 Extra services in Kollafjørður (route 4) These services do not connect to other Bussleiðin routes. However, some trips may connect to buses operated by SSL ( route 100, 300 and 400). These are paid services. Route 400 has several stops near Bussleiðin stops (see the Kollafjørður map). Routes 100 and 300 call at Kollafjørður roundabout only, which is a 10 minute (750 m) walk west of bus stop Á Oyrareingjum. Note: bus stop Tunnel cannot be accessed from Signabøur village on foot! Always inform the bus driver when embarking the bus. 9 Intercity services 100, 300 & 400 Tórshavn - Kollafjørður Strandfaraskip Landsins (SSL) runs intercity buses between Tórshavn and several other towns. Routes 100, 300 and 400 can be useful for local transport within Tórshavn Municipality as well, for example for travel from central Tórshavn to Hoyvík and Kollafjørður. Please consider the following notes: These services are designed for interregional use. Their use for local transport should be regarded as a nice bonus service. As such, neither punctuality nor space can be guaranteed. Heavy delays (in both directions), early departures (from Kollafjørður) and weather-related cancellations occur frequently. Fares are to be paid for on the bus either by cash or by debit card. Indication of prices: Kollafjørður-Hoyvík/Tórshavn 50 DKK, Hoyvík-Tórshavn 20 DKK. Kollafjørður roundabout is no official stop, so always ask the driver to put you off there on embarking (and on disembarking) the vehicle. Mind that due to local geography, it is impossible to walk from Kollafjørður Tunnel to Signabøur and Kollafjørdur, except for carefully hiking along the highway. Always consult for changes and deviations.
