After many months of hard training and planning, the season didn t start as planned with a solid defeat to the hands of the North Warrnambool Eagles. To the boys credit they responded really well the following week to defeat the highly fancied Seagulls. Last week saw the 2015 grand final re match, in which we had a comfortable victory. Great to see Jason Rowan and Sam Wilson having successful returns after serious injuries last year. Another huge bonus for the club is the return of Dan Weymouth, Tim Hunt, and Otto Opperman to our senior side. James Fary has taken the reins of the reserves, with Mick Cooper and Corey Gallichan his assistants. So far so good, as they say two out of three ain t bad. Great to see a new face to the club in Tracy McCardle taking charge of our Under 18.5 s. With a tough off season, regarding our numbers, things are starting to come together slowly for the team. With two good wins to date the club is optimistic about the remainder of the year. Our netball is has also had an extremely positive start to the season, with two awesome wins in the seniors, and coach Emma Cust doing a brilliant job guiding all our senior and junior girls. We look forward to the exciting season ahead. Junior Football & Netball teams have started the season of well, and we encourage all our supporters to come along on a Sunday and support our young exciting players. We wish to congratulate our Under 14 player, Renee Saulitis who has been selected to represent Victoria in the National Under 15 s girls football championships. This is a great achievement and one the club is very proud of, well done Renee. MEMBERSHIP 2016 Membership for 2016 are still available for renewal.
