2 HISTORY OF INNOVATION M/s. Dharsan Dredging & Constructions is an Indian owned group of Professionals, well experienced in the field of dredging. It is a group diversified into the field of marketing imported dredgers and other related machineries manufactured by Scandinavian, European countries and also service oriented, involved in various fields: 1. Manufacturers of Dredgers and Marine Floating Vessels. 2. Manning and Operation of Dredgers & Floating Vessels, 3. Dredging / Desilting / Reclamation of sites / Repair and supply of spares for Dredgers and Marine Vessels. 4. Supply of Manpower for various operations on floating vessel. 5. Also a Dredge Consultant for upgrading environment statutory requirements related to waters all over Indian continent (from North to South, East to West). It also has interests in the resources sector, mineral recovery processes, ocean engineering technology, and wastewater recovery technology. Dharsan Dredging & Constructions lies on the Product line, and Services renowned for their Quality and Reliability, the range is for the market leading multipurpose Water Master Classic III and Watermaster Classic IV multipurpose amphibian versatile Dredgers (Finland), Weed Harvesters (Finland), multipurpose Water Cleaning Machines, with Service group, includes handling of Dredging projects, Repair and Maintenance of Dredgers, Marine equipments and supply of essential spares. In the middle of 2008, it was Mr. J. Arumai Raj who took a bold step in starting the business as small service industry with limited resources and place of operation, carried on the business under the name of M/s. Dharsan Dredging & Constructions 1

Dharsan Dredging & Constructions has now retained the exclusive right to carry on the business because it has been incorporated under the companies act 1956 on with the main objective of establishing business of Importing dredgers for Governmental bodies, Operating Dredgers, Training the Staff, carry out dredging works like cleaning, clearing, removing waste aquatic vegetation, contaminated layers of waste (Hazardous and Non-Hazardous foreign particles) from Lakes, Rivers, Seas, Canals, Ponds, etc. In tandem with M/s. Dharsan Dredging & Constructions is its continuing development in the Union Territory like Pondicherry, Andaman & Nichobar Islands, Kerala and neighboring states. Introducing new tourism spots easing the berthing terminal for fishing trawlers and mini ships, opening of sea mouth for free movement of floating vessels. These are engineered effectively by providing cost effective methods, which is increasing on demand through out India. MAIN OBJECTS TO BE PURSUED BY THE COMPANY a. 6 PROMOTERS PROFILE Mr. J. Arumai Raj, President of M/s Dharsan Dredging & Constructions, is a Mechanical Engineer by profession and an outstanding student of Madras University. He has over 3.0 Decades of experience in various field related to Marine and land projects. His specialized carrier is on Manufacturing Marine Crafts (like Tugs, Launches, Fishing Trawlers, passenger Ferries, Dumb Barges, Water Barges, Bottom Opening Hopper Barges etc) and Dredgers of different types that suits the customers request. His hand on experience is running and maintenance of all machineries on the ships; he also has vast experience of handling projects. He has worked as Project Manager at Kochi, Kerala. His approach to any technical problem or Labor problems is really unmatched with others. In decision making and action in work is very quick, firm and never goes back on his words. ORIGIN AND DEVELOPMENT Dharsan Dredging & Constructions In Chengalpattu The office is centralized at Chengalpattu taking care of administration, production, service and rebuilt, spread out into various network of operation around India and its Union territory, it provides strong product service and customers support as required. From this main office runs number of branches located in strategic location providing sales, services, manpower, marketing new dredgers, supplying spares for ships and dredgers, repairing and rebuild of dredgers and operation of dredgers. Production front: M/s. Dharsan Dredging & Constructions is known to have exemplary performance in field of dredging / desilting, this is mainly due to the existing technocrats and skilled Labor forces. On Manufacturing Front: M/s. Dharsan Dredging & Constructions is known to have opened its high professionalism in engineering Design and manufacturing of high quality, modernized with standard statutory requirement of Dumb Barges, Dredgers, Self Propelled Self Unloading Hopper Barges (SUHB) and other Marine Vessels with support of well experienced qualified Naval Architect experienced skilled workforce, and well equipped workshop for manufacturing boats & barges with support of water front in Chennai and in Pondy. This has enabled the company to move ahead in challenge to all marine manufacturing units in India. Project Management: All operations are controlled from our good branches and corporate head office. For every assignment, the first step is a conceptual plan for manpower resources and programming of work, prepared by the respective branch. This broad plan is 8

The Port & Irrigation Authorities are satisfied, taking into the consideration of natures effect like weather for at least 3 Months, it goes without Dredging. 11 MAINTENANCE OF DREDGERS: M/s Dharsan Dredging & Constructions, with its highly skilled laborers and highly qualified experienced Engineers were able to reach a high standard of repair and maintenance work. Referring Delhi which had Crawl Cat 200 Dredger being operated in Jamuna River, Delhi City Drain was totally under the service control of Mr.J.Arumairaj, the President of Dharsan Dredging & Constructions. Even though it was an old Dredger, yet the maintenance of this Dredger was so good, this was because of attending to the specialized jobs like repairing of Track Leg Cylinder under water, Dredge Pump Overhauling Hydraulic systems. Our President involved in Crawl Cat Dredger s Repair Works at Delhi At present the above Amphibian Dredger Crawl Cat 200 is bought from the Government of Delhi through e tendering and the same is under the good control of M/s Dharsan Dredging & Constructions. This dredger is converted into Crawl Cat 300 version for its maximum output. 10

12 With regard to Indigenous Dredgers of Andhra State, which was almost been scraped by the Govt., it was Mr.J.Arumai Raj, President of Dharsan Dredging & Constructions, who had put the Dredger in working condition. This Dredger was driven out from Hussain Sagar Lake completely, dismantled, overhauled, renewed the parts and then shifted to Saroornagar lake, launched the Dredger successfully in the presence of the customer, and now it is working satisfactorily in Saroornagar Lake. With regards to old imported Dredgers in India, the maintenance works with skilled laborers and qualified engineers as a team being floated to various sites to carryout highly skilled technical works with precision. A few customers such as Ennore Thermal Power Plant having 3 Dredgers make Holland, Italy & France. The team worked on hydraulic systems. Likewise teams have carried out number of jobs for different customers. Such as Lakshmi Dredging and Marine Services Kochi, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Refineries Division) Guwahati, Assam, Vijayawada Thermal Power Station, Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Ltd, Ibrahimpatnam, Andhra Pradesh and so on. The complete service team was involved at Gujarat sites for Gujarat Maritime Board and at Andhra Pradesh I & CAD Departments also. Future is bright for maintenance team, as it is looking forward for greater companies like Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited, (Sarni, Chachai), etc. 11

It has also helped its port for launching two vessels down the ocean to Andaman & Nicobar Islands, which is first achievement in history of Pondicherry Port. Successfully achieved in record time the assembling commissioning and testing of IHC-1200 Beaver dredger latest model for M/s. Sanghi Industries Ltd., and also IHC 5014C Cutter Suction Dredger which belongs to M/s. Sanghi Cements Division Gujarat. M/s. Dharsan Dredging & Constructions is the first company in India to have laid the foundation in the field of marketing of multipurpose most modern, worldclass Watermaster Classic III dredger imported from Finland thro the involvement of Mr.J.Arumairaj, President. M/s. Dharsan Dredging & Constructions in a short span has achieved to import one number multi purpose Watermaster Classic III dredger for Irrigation and Flood Control Department, Government of India, Delhi, thro the involvement of its President, Mr.J.Arumairaj. The same was successfully commissioned, operational training given and handed over to its customer.
