2 Proposals are being prepared for the redevelopment of the site which is located on the northern part of the Canary Wharf estate. The site is owned by Canary Wharf () Ltd, part of the Canary Wharf Group plc (CWG). The vision Through the development of the site CWG hopes to deliver: mixed use scheme which addresses the increasing demand for office space, retail and housing. The aim is to be a good neighbour, keeping local people and stakeholders consulted and informed about future plans. CWG will support projects and organisations which help improve the lives of residents around their developments. CWG seeks to lead its industry and to offer innovative and effective solutions to challenges affecting the sector, local communities, the city and country. CWG will take an active role in relevant business and representative organisations and support initiatives which improve the economic and social environment. CWG is prepared to support national or international programmes and charities where their involvement will make a strategic difference to the outcome.

8 THE SITE The site sits along the the north perimeter of West India North Dock and south of the between Billingsgate Market to the east and West India Quay DLR Station to the west. The site itself was used during the construction of Crossrail Place (to the south) and is currently closed to the public. PLNNING HISTORY In 00 the London Borough of Tower Hamlets granted planning permission for a significant office led scheme (LBTH ref. P/0/00). This planning permission is extant and as such could still be implemented. The scheme comprises two towers of storeys ( meters) and storeys (0 metres) with a storey central link building ( metres) to provide,0 sq.m of offices and, sq.m of retail together with public realm.
