9 What to Pack Reno-Tahoe s starkly beautiful geographical variations make for cooler temperatures in the higher mountain elevations and warmer temperatures in the valleys. Overall, the climate is dry. Average July temperatures for Reno range from 92 degrees as a high and 51 degrees as a low. Average temperatures for the Lake Tahoe region are lower, ranging from a high of 79 degrees to a low of 40 degrees. Conference attire is generally business causal for all events, meetings and sessions. Since the banquet rooms are air-conditioned and the evenings may be cool, we suggest bringing a light sweater or jacket for your comfort. What to Do There are many opportunities for exciting entertainment in and around Reno and Lake Tahoe when not attending the SWAAAE Summer Conference.
