37 BENDIGO Born out of the gold boom of the past, Bendigo has rewritten its future to become a must explore cultural destination. For expert tips on arts and cultural activities check out the nearest Visitor Information Centre. Most centres are conveniently open daily from 9am to 5pm or go online to visitvictoria.com No visit to Bendigo would be complete without a visit to the Bendigo Art Gallery. Attracting visitors from across the country to its iconic fashion and popular culture inspired exhibition series along with its significant permanent collection. Make more creative discoveries in Chancery Lane, on board the Schaller Studio tram, at the Bendigo Visitor Centre s Living Arts Space or see artisans working in their studios at The Bendigo Pottery. Visitors and locals can also take in a performance at The Ulumbarra Theatre or The Capital Theatre.
