3 Sweeping Views Central Pier was built in 1916 as part of Victoria Dock and was once Australia s busiest port. Central Pier was re-developed by Schiavello Group and The Woolshed opened January 2010 in Shed 9 of Melbourne s old docking and shipping hub which now forms a slice of the Dockland s redevelopment as part of the thriving Central Pier entertainment precinct. The Woolshed was once used as a wool storage facility thus the name. 5 IT S ALL IN THE DETAIL The Woolshed with its charming combination of rustic and heritage architecture, harbour location and chic contemporary cuisine, is a popular destination for engagements, weddings and social celebrations who want to experience the best of Victoria s food and drink culture, with stunning waterside views, without having to leave Melbourne. The new interior courtesy of Airstream Architects showcases the raw and exposed architecture, rustic charm and waterfront views that are sure to be a perfect backdrop for your special day. The applied finishes are a mixture of natural materials such as the rust paint, brass and tin, used in an array of low-gloss, matt and rough textures. Geometry was used to create counterpoint to flat finishes, and provide a focus that pairs off against the textures. The refined interior finishes and brand new event spaces such as the Harbour View Room, Fireside Room and Fireside Mezzanine showcase refined finishes in this rustic and heritage venue.

7 UNIQUE SPACES FOR YOUR SPECIAL DAY The Woolshed boasts three private function spaces: The Harbour View Room, The Fire Side Room and the brand-new Fireside Mezzanine. Ideal for formal and informal gatherings, the spaces are unique, flexible and inviting. With original cargo doors, hand etched wooden floorboards and an industrial style ceiling, the space is equally impressive when left as is or when it is fully styled. The interior is a perfect balance of old and new. The spaces are perfect to all grand plans for your special day. The upstairs Harbour View Room has stunning views of Victoria Harbour and the city skyline from the private balcony. Rustic, industrial and with its own private entrance, this space is enchanting. The private balcony is also a perfect setting for a wedding ceremony. The Fire Side Room offers charming loft ceilings and loads of natural light from its large glass windows. In the cooler months, with the fireplaces roaring, this venue is a cosy space that oozes charm. For larger celebrations, the entire venue can be booked out for a maximum of 720 guests who will enjoy a stunning setting from this industrial style Melbourne gem.
