2 food friends entertainment ceo s report Dear members, Season s greetings and a warm welcome to the Summer edition of Club Bull. It s been a year of significant achievement at the Nambour RSL Club with just a few highlights including industry recognition for Best Event Facilities & Services and Club Chef of the Year, almost $50,000 in Community Grants presented to community organisations, hosting Vince Jones for the Nambour Winter Jazz Festival and the announcement of our plans to build a new additional Community Club on the Sunshine Coast. These successes would not have been possible without the generous support of our members, guests and community, for which we are sincerely grateful. The Club has now proudly supported Nambour and its surrounding communities with over $3 million in sponsorships, donations and grants. We recognise that the Christmas season can put many families under stress and it is for this reason we are again partnering with Suncoast Care and asking our generous members to donate gifts suitable for Nambour children and adults in need. We kindly request that the donations come unwrapped so that our team can allocate them to the right age group and that you focus on boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 16. We have been advised that this group tends to miss out at Christmas as Suncoast Care receive many donations of toys and goods for smaller children. We thank you for your generosity and for helping us help our Nambour community. Now that the members and ASIC have approved our transition from an Incorporated Association to a Company Limited by Guarantee the Inaugural Annual General Meeting of Boldbridge Group Ltd was held on the 28th of November 2018 at 11.00am. All current and financial members were welcome to this meeting and I was delighted to see members attend this important annual event. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our current outgoing Board of Directors Len Bebbington, Bill Sawrey, Kerry Evans, Simone Pearce, Steve Pallot and Penny Wilson for their vision, support and guidance over the past 12 months. They have been a progressive board to work with and I wish the incoming Board of Directors great success and look forward to continuing to work towards our strategic goals. I would also like to extend a big thank you to those 692 members who completed our 2018 Survey. Surveys are now conducted annually and allow members the opportunity to let us know how we are going and for us, to continually improve our services for the benefit of all. For the most part, feedback was extremely positive and constructive, with coffee, customer services and value for money ranking the most important to the respondent group. We are already making key changes as a direct result of this survey. It is our mission for all staff to have a successful and rewarding career and we strongly believe in developing and supporting them in this. I am thrilled to congratulate Ian Morris and Jess Burton in completing their Certificate IV in Leadership and Management following a year of hard work and dedication. Ian and Jess graduated in October along with their cohort of brilliant and forwardthinking class and we are very proud of their achievements. I am also extremely pleased to report that Leah Spence was recently invited to partake in the Club Super Leadership Institute intake for 2019, in this program Leah will join nine industry peers travelling the state completing a Diploma of Hospitality Management. Please join me in wishing Leah great success with this program in the coming 12 months. With the change in season comes a vibrant new menu from our Executive Chef Matthew Smyth in Mosaic Restaurant. We invite you to come in and enjoy these new tastes including Mosaic s newest signature dish, the Lamb Shoulder, it is already a clear favourite amongst diners and we could not agree more. We now also offer a lunch and dinner menu to cater to different tastes and preferences, as well as separate kids and youth areas to keep the whole family entertained. Mosaic will again extend its popular Kids Eat Free promotion through the entire Summer School Holidays and so we hope to see you over this time to take advantage of great value family dining. In addition to the new menu, we have several delicious specials coming in summer including a mouthwatering platter for 2 with beef ribs, lamb cutlets, lamb shoulder, chicken breast and trimmings on Friday and Saturday nights. This is in addition to our $12 lunch specials and Sunday through Thursday nightly specials, making for value dining every day and night of the week. We also have some fantastic new promotions kicking off after Christmas for members. Lantern Festival will see one lucky member win a trip for 2 across China, where they will walk the Great Wall, explore the Terracotta Warriors and meet the Buddhists at Longmen Grottoes. A trip valued at over $10,000! This New Year s Eve is going to be a great night with our headline act, the Eagles Hotel California band. This show is free for all to attend and will be live on our lounge bar stage from 9pm 12.30am. The night brings in our 2019 entertainment calendar with exciting acts like the ABBALIVE and Def Leppard vs Bon Jovi tribute shows. Please help us by donating an unwrapped gift to our reception and we ll ensure it is delivered just in time for Christmas. Please deliver your donated gifts before Friday 14th December. Suncoast Care have suggested gifts for girls and boys aged between 12 and 16 years, as well as toys. Thank you for your generosity.
