I am very proud to report that as at the end of this financial year the Club has achieved its highest membership numbers to date. This is a fantastic achievement for our venue particularly with the reported slowing of the economy in Nambour. The Board and Management team at the Club are acutely aware of the increasing cost of living and, like many running businesses in Nambour and surrounding regions, we are making positive steps towards future proofing our fantastic facility so that members can enjoy it for years to come. A big thank you to all those members who completed our customer survey. These surveys occur regularly and allow us to continually improve our services. The feedback was in the main exceptionally positive, it is clear that you all value and enjoy belonging to the Club. A number of key changes have been made as a direct result of this survey. The first was the launch of the all new 6 tier loyalty program in the Club. The new Your Club Rewards program has been adapted and upgraded to deliver our loyal spring 2017 members more tangible rewards on a regular basis. If you have any questions, particularly around what benefits you receive, our friendly staff can talk you through the program. We have also reinvigorated our Altro Café menu this Spring incorporating our member s feedback. Remember Altro and Zinc Bar conveniently offer all day dining to our members and guests. Lastly we are bringing back our Wednesday lunch and dinner Chicken Schnitzel special this September only. It truly is a value offering that many of our customers look forward to. With the new financial year now upon us I would like to take the opportunity to thank our Board of Directors for their support and professionalism during another challenging but successful year at the Club. Their commitment to our strategic plan ensures a solid future-proofing strategy that will continue the now over 60 year legacy this Club has enjoyed. I must also take this opportunity to acknowledge the exceptional achievements of our retiring Director Vince Cashion. Vince has been on the Board for the past 24 years and for the first 22 years he was the Treasurer. I have worked very closely with Vince during this time and will certainly miss our regular chats about, not only Club matters, but generally about life/business/travel and the world at large. Vince is a very knowledgeable gentleman and his contribution to the Club's success during this period is remarkable. Thank you Vince. You will be missed. I also wish the incoming Board of Directors great success and look forward to continuing a positive working relationship with each and every one of them so that we may grow the Club for all members and guests to enjoy in the future. Once again we have some exciting promotions for members revealed in the coming pages including our Spring Luxury Escape Promotion where members have the opportunity to win cash prizes and weekend getaways plus $7,500 cash or a Luxury European Cruise for two at the major draw. Following this we have a Lucky Cash Case Promotion where every Sunday members could win up to $1000 and one lucky member will win $5000 in our major draw. Our entertainment calendar continues to deliver sell out dinner and show offers. Coming up we have KISSperience on Saturday 16th September and the Dragon/ Australian Crawl Tribute on Saturday 4th November. We also have the acclaimed Wedding Reception comedy show on Sunday 29th October. This show is fantastic value and includes the show plus 3 course meal. If you missed our first wine dinner make sure you make our next ones. On Wednesday 6th September Wicks Estate will present 5 wines matched with a decadent 5 course dinner. Following this on Wednesday 15th November, Angove Wines will also be hosting a similar event. The night is a lot of fun with prizes, spectacular dining and your chance to chat directly with the winemakers of these boutique estates. Both events are just $60pp. Spring racing will also be in full swing. This year our Melbourne Cup event will include free entertainment, prizes for best fashion and a fabulous seafood special.
