1 Report on PRBC Participation in 14 th International My Karachi Oasis of Harmony Exhibition 2017 Held from 7 th to 9 th April 2017 at Expo Enter Karachi The Pakistan-Romania Business Council participated in 14 th My-Karachi, Oasis of Harmony Exhibition The Exhibition was organized by the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) from 7 th to 9 th April 2017 at Expo Center Karachi. Like every year the PRBC stall No.D5 was setup in Diplomatic Pavilion in Hall No.5 of Expo Center Karachi where all diplomatic stalls were setup to represent their countries for three days. The exhibition hours were from 10:00am to 8:00pm. PRBC arranged its booth to create awareness about the trade and investment opportunity between Pakistan and Romania. PRBC stall attracted people from the business community and huge number of the general visitors (more than one million people visited the exhibition) seems interested in getting information about business, visa, culture and education in Romania. The exhibition attended by a large number of visitors from all folk of life. During three days exhibition numbers of diplomats and high officials visited our stall and shared their valuable time with PRBC. The stall was established to be the avenue for interactive business-to-business linkages between both countries. The Chairman PRBC and Board of Directors warmly welcomed all the distinguished guests at the stall and briefed them about the mission, vision of PRBC and trade opportunities available in Romania. The High Officials from Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) including President KCCI Mr. Shamim Ahmed Firpo, Former Presidents KCCI & Leader of Business Men Group Mr. Siraj Kassam Teli, Managing Committee Members of KCCI and high-up s from Business Community visited the stall on first day of exhibition on 7 th April 2017 and shared their time at the stall and appreciated PRBC working and wished for future success. The Honorary Consul General of Ukraine in Karachi Engr. M. A. Jabbar visited PRBC booth on first day and applauded the efforts of PRBC in promoting bilateral trade between Pakistan and Romania. The Consul General of Russia in Karachi H.E. Mr.Oleg N. Avdeev visited the PRBC stall on the second day of the exhibition on 8 th April 2017 and shred his time at the booth. The Delegation of Women Entrepreneurs of KCCI headed by its Chairperson Ms. Durre Shahwar Nisar also visited the PRBC stall and shred their time and views at the stall. The exhibition was successfully concluded while achieving the desired objectives. The Honorable Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah inaugurated the exhibition. Director General Rangers, Mayor Karachi, Deputy Speaker Sindh Assembly, Consul Generals of Thailand, Turkey, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka also visited the exhibition. All distinguished guest also visited PRBC stall and appreciated it efforts and hardworking for promotion of trade and positive image of Pakistan. To fetch the desired objectives and attract the attention of the masses, PRBC prepared Pak-Romania ambiance at the stall, like PRBC back drop, standees, souvenirs, audio-visual system, dissemination of PRBC information, Romania trade statistics etc. Below are some pictures of PRBC Booth at My Karachi P a g e
