32 Phil Coffey. Director, Coffey Architects. People are looking for found spaces, spaces where they don t feel controlled or constrained. So how do you create the feel of a found space in a new space? It is meant to feel like a place we found when we refurbished an older building 32

33 Q1 is an office building designed by Coffey Architects whose work is inspired by people, context and light. It has a distinct, smaller character and a different grain to the other buildings. It feels like a philosophy to work rather than 1,000s of sq ft. 31,500 sq ft self contained island site building with excellent natural light sq ft of office space on the ground floor sq ft of retail space on the ground floor. This building is located above the tracks and tunnels that lead out of King s Cross rail station. Distinctive architectural design with personality. 13,500 sq ft of space on the first and second floors. Unique second floor with 6.8m floor to apex ceiling of ceiling. Q1 echoes the historic context of the area and is a continuation of the historic roof line structure of the old Midland Goods railway shed directly to the south.
